Chapter 140

"Levi," her tone changed. "You won't do this to me. You told me that you have broken up with her."

Levi walked to the door and banged on it. "I never said such a thing to you. You only assumed it."

A tear fell down her eyes. She couldn't believe that she was played so smoothly. Her father had raised her to be very smart but because of her feelings for him, she could not bring herself to be her true devious self.

As she thought about it, she quickly realized that the young man had never told her that he had broken up with her. Neither did he ever tell her that they were together. But she so badly wanted to believe a lie that she made up and she kept saying it over and over again, hoping that it would soon become her reality.

But reality was far from her. She couldn't differentiate what she truly wanted anymore.

Was she doing this for her father or was she doing it for her own sanity. What would she tell her father when he starts asking questions?
