"Who is this person?" Levi asked. He had seen Jake worked up before but he had never seen him so worked up in his life. The young man was sweating profusely and Levi was sure that he could hear his heart pounding from his chest. "I think it's best if you come and see for yourself," he said while moving away from him. "Look, this better be good because of its not," "Are you free to have my head on a sliver platter," Jake completed the sentence for him and walked away. Immediately, Levi turned to stare at Brittany who just shook her head indicating that she did not know what he was on about. "Let's go," he said while grabbing hold of her hand and heading towards the direction they saw Jake take. The duo walked in silence till they reached the palour. The sight before him almost made him freeze. "Davina!" He said surprised at her presence. "Why are you surprised to see me? What? You thought I would rot in that place you put me in?" "I did not put you anywhere. Maybe if you were
"Okay, what the hell just happened?" Brittany asked, looking around. She could feel her anger rising. Could feel herself becoming more angry with every word that was being said. She did not know which got her more upset. The silence or the words that kept ringing in her head. But in the midst of everything. One thing was pretty clear. Davina had just threatened her life and she was not going to just let it go like that. She was right and she had to fight for her right and her life. "I think she threatened to kill you," Jake who had stood silently the whole time finally had something to say. His contributions was not met with the right response. "Oh did she?! I was worried that she told me she wants to be my best friend," Brittany said sarcastically while clapping her hands. "Even that I'll.be a bad idea. I mean, just imagine actually being friends with a psychopath like that. It would ruin you." "Oh wow. I did not know that. Thank you for clearing that up." Everyone had their o
"What did he say?" Brittany asked. She did not like the look of on the face. It mirrored defeat and anger. Both were not a good look on him. Somehow, she had figured that girl was too much of a slut. Mayb she even slept with the judge to get a pass. Because with what Levi told her, then it wasn't possible for her to leave there without doing something fishy. "Well, you will never believe what she did?" Levi said, sitting down his phone. "Her father has a hand in this madness. Can you imagine that besides everything, what the judge thought would be a good punishment for her was to simply give her some community service and a ban." "Are you serious?!" Brittany asked, shocked. What sort of influence did her father truly have to be able to get her out of such huge mess that she was in. That was supposed to be it for her. She was not supposed to be able to escape from that. But her father must have such strong illegal connection to be able to get her out of it."How is that possible?
"You really need to stop walking out when the discussion gets a bit tensed," Levi said as soon as he got into the room. "Well, I wouldn't have to get tensed if you would just listen to me and do as I say," Brittany replied, and removed his face from him. Something about it pissed her off the more she saw it. Levi looked at her and scoffed. Her pretense to not want to see his face was kind of lovely. "You need to get this thought out of your mind. You know that I listen to you and I do everything you want but you not wanting to do this is just absurd.""How is it absurd?! You want to use me as bait?" Brittany charged at him. "When you say it like that, you make it sound like I am doing everything in my power to wreck you. You do know that I am in on this as well right? I mean, it's not only your life that will be disturbed? Mine will as well. We will be putting ourselves in harm's way but I promise you that we will get out of it. As a matter of fact, it's the only way this is actua
"We can do this," Levi said to himself while looking at his friends and when he realized that they could not here why he was saying, he finally opened his mouth to talk.."We can do this. We just need to be more organized and make fast decisions." "Levi is right. We can do this. And besides, it's better late than never. If we let this go now, we may lose this opportunity forever," Jake said. "I don't think you guys fully understand what you want to do. You want to make one of the most feared man in this country to stake all his money on some pieces of land that don't even exist. What do you think will happen to you guys once he loses that money?" "Well, what can I say. He won't be able to do anything because he will have no funding.""Exactly. He will have no funding to take care of anything he needs. Including Susan.""He may not have money but he will still have some loyal men that will be willing to do anything he asks. And one of the things he asks for maybe just be your head o
"Mark, what the hell is that?" Levi said as Jake scurried behind him to hide. It was the second time he had a gun pointed to his face and he knew that it was just a matter of time before he would be shot."What?" Mark asked as if he did not know what he was holding or worse, the damage such things could do. "You are holding a gun and pointing it at me. What the hell is going on?!" Levi asked. If he as about to be betrayed by Mark again, he would be livid. He had trusted that man and would be heartbroken if he learnt that all that was in vain and the guy actually was still against him. Immediately, Mark's eyes widen and he looked this hand. "Oh, I am so sorry about this. I did not even know I was holding it." "What?" Levi did not know how that was possible and so he asked. "No, I mean I did know that I was holding it obviously but I did not know that I was actually pointing it at you still. It was a safety measures. We can't be too careful this period. Especially with everyone tryi
The day flew by like a breeze. Levi could feel his stomach tightening and lossening intermittently. He wasn't worried for himself. No he as more concerned for the people around him. The people that he knew it was his responsibility to protect and guide. He was more concerned about Jake, about Brittany, about Brittany's mom, about his uncle. Hell he was even worried about Mark. He would not be okay with himself if he allowed anything to happen to those people. He needed to let them be safe..he had to make sure that they were safe. No matter what it took him, he had to ensure that those people were safe and protected. And so he looked at the plan, analyzed what they had planned to do and finally, looked at the lives that were prepared to sacrifice themselves just to keep him safe.He did not take any of them for granted but he had also wished that at least he had some sort of superpowers to actually keep them safe and protect them against all harm. Since he did not, he would just have
"What took you so long?" The girl asked as she saw the person she was waiting for finally approaching her table. "I'm sorry about that. It was a bit difficult coming finding a way to leave the house. Had to leave without anyone knowing," she responded and took a seat. "But why are you sneaking out of the house? What's going on?" The girl took a long sigh. "Well, the boys are hatching up some terrible plan and I think that if I don't help them fix it, then they will be getting themselves into more trouble than they can get out of." "What kind of trouble though?" She asked and the girl went mute. "Brittany, I asked you a question," she nudged, making her spark back to life. "I know. I wasn't deaf when you asked it." "Well, you haven't given me an answer so maybe you were." "Look, I can't really tell you what the boys are doing but they are doing something stupid." "If you can't tell me what it is they are doing, how do you expect me to help you out?" "Because it's you. C
