Chapter 253

Brittany stood up with shaking legs and walked slowly towards the door. She knew who was behind it. Levi's perfume has always been different and it was one of the things that drew her attention the first time. As she took slow steps towards him, she realized that her eyes were a bit watery.

"I'm coming," she said as she began cleaning her eyes, hoping that when he comes in, he will not notice the fact that she wanted to break down and cry.

Once she was sure that she was okay, she wiped the tears off her eyes and opened the door. Levi stood outside, leaning on the wall and he stared at her. She did look off but he still couldn't pin his hands on anything but if the was one thing he knew very well, it was that she was lying to him. And he was going to find out why.

"Is everything okay? Why are you just standing there and staring down at me like that?" Brittany asked, trying to avoid his gaze.

He could see that she tried to hide it but she had always been terrible at hiding her pain.
