Chapter Eighty

Levi waved at Mark once he was able to site him. He sat across a table for two and Levi couldn't help but wonder why he wasn't waiting at the bar.

"Hey, why are we sitting here?" He asked.

"Well, I just figured you'd be more comfortable here than at the bar."

Levi pulled out a seat and sat. He was tempted to ask why he would say that, but he shrugged it off immediately the feeling came.

"So what are we drinking?" He asked, raising the bottle that stayed on the table.

"Umm, beer. Do you like that?"

"Yeah, it's good."

"How is your friend?" Mark asked as he took a sip of the drink. He didn't bother to pour it into mug.

The feel of the bottle on his lips gave him a strange feeling.

"Oh she is good. The doctor said she is going to be fine. She just needs to be under close monitoring but she just has some skin injuries."

"Oh I'm glad to know that she will be fine," Mark said and meant it.

He could see that Levi cared deeply for the young woman and it would be a sad thing to see her
