Chapter Fourty Eight

"Levi, are you there?" Brittany asked when she didn't hear a word from him.

"Yes. I am still here. Ahem," Levi cleared his throat. He couldn't risk allowing his mind to go far. He knew what would become of him if he allowed that to happen. His mind was quite imaginative and he could not allow it to wander anymore.

"Okay. Then say something!" Brittany said.

"Well, I am waiting for you to make your request. So what is it that I can help with you this fine morning?"

Levi could tell that the topic was one that would embarrass her to talk about but he also knew that she had no other option but to say it out. So he listened attentively to every word she was about to say.

"Okay, I need you to go on a date with me."

Immediately those words fell out of her mouth, Levi froze.

"It couldn't be," he thought to himself. Was Brittany James asking him out on a date. He never considered the woman as being so formal but then again, he didn't know her for that long. Maybe this was her true colours
