Chapter Seventy Eight

"We are so sorry, sir!" James said, having no other choice but to apologize for his reckless actions.

"Mr. James, I believe I didn't ask you for an apology. Now help me understand exactly what is going on here before I lose it. Did you not train these people at all?"

"We did. We gave them all the training there is to acquire," James said, trying to defend himself and all he stands for at all cost. He had heard about Levi. He knew how ruthless the young man was. Even if he wasn't that ruthless, he knew that the man would follow after the footsteps of his uncle Gilead. If not why else would the man hire him to be his successor.

What he didn't hear was how strategic he was when he felt pushed to he wall. And Levi was pushed by so many factors. He had been embarrassed in front of Brittany before but something about him being embarrassed in a store that was clearly his after he had brought her there just to convince her of his true identity left him very upset.
