"Are you saying no to a direct order?" Cody said.

"What direct order? Where is the order coming from? Are you not the one enforcing this on me?"

"Brit, I will have you know that I am the chairman of the student union and whatever I say is an order that you should not disobey. If you do, there will be consequences."

"Are you threatening me right now?"

Brittany wasn't scared of Cody. She knew all the tactics he loved using in order to get what he wanted. What she was scared of was her grades being tampered with because she disobeyed authorities but she wasn't a fool, she knew that it would be impossible to do the task that he had assigned to her and if she knew him at all, she knew that he didn't do anything without thinking it through. It simply means that he has a purpose for his actions and the sooner she found out what he wanted, the better it would be for her.
