A Mother’s plea

Miller's father sat in silence for a moment, the weight of the situation sinking in. He couldn’t believe that Miller threatened to kill him. His mind raced as he considered their options, he was in between disowning him and giving the authorities all the information about him. He was just tired of Miller.

It was now he regretted ever rejecting Kim. He wished Kim was his only child. As he thought, regretful tears strolled down from his eyes.

Finally, he spoke, his voice laced with pain and brokenness. "We can't keep protecting him, darling, we’ve done enough for him. But he chose this part and it's not our fault," he said, addressing his wife. "If Miller is truly involved in these crimes, then we have a responsibility to cooperate with the authorities and help bring him to justice."
