The way to go

Miller finished his meal in silence, the environment was really tensioning. As he pushed his plate away and stood up to head inside to freshen up, his father's stern voice stopped him in his tracks.

"Where do you think you're going?" Mr. Larkin's voice cut through the room, his expression still hardened.

"I was just going to freshen up, Dad, or do you enjoy seeing me in this mess?" Miller replied, trying to keep his tone neutral but angry.

His father's eyes narrowed. "You think you can just come and go as you please? I have said countless times that you're not welcome here," he spat out, his words filled with bitterness.

Miller began to rain insults on his dad, telling him that he was not going to go anywhere. “I dare you to drag me out. Respect yourself, you old fool.”

Mrs. Larkin interjected, her voice filled with concern, "Please, let's not argue again. Miller, go freshen up. We'll talk later."

But Mr. Larkin wasn't ready to let it go. "He's not welcome under my roof,
