The Preparation

Kim glanced at Zero questionably, but Zero just shrugged his shoulders in response. Kim was scared, he didn't know what to expect. Eventually, he followed his father inside the house.

Once they were all seated, Kim sat opposite his father, waiting anxiously for him to speak. But before Mr. Jones could say anything, Kim's siblings entered the room, greeting each other and their father warmly.

"Hey, Dad! Hey, Kim!" Amara exclaimed, giving them both a big hug.

Drake grinned and nodded at his father. "Good day, Dad. How are you doing? Kim," he said cheerfully.

Casey waved at them with a smile. "Hi, Dad. Hi, Kim," she greeted.

Jim clapped his father on the back. "Good afternoon, Dad. Good afternoon, Kim," he said with a grin.

Alvin gave them a thumbs-up. "Afternoon, Dad. Afternoon, Kim," he greeted, his voice enthusiastic.

Kristen gave her father and Kim a quick hug. "Hey, guys! Afternoon," she said with a smile.

Paige flashed them a brigh
