Unaware visit

The next day…

Kim stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his tie. He could see the worry in Zoey’s eyes as she watched him prepare to go to the Larkins' house.

"Babe, please," Zoey said, her voice trembling. "Don’t go. It might be dangerous. I don't trust that family."

Kim turned to her, placing his hands on her shoulders. "My love, I have to. We need answers, and this is the only way to get them."

"But what if something happens? What if Miller finds out you’re there? Or what if he's actually there? He could be violent," she pleaded, her eyes filling with tears.

"I know it’s risky," Kim admitted, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "But my boss is aware of the situation. He’ll be monitoring everything. I’ll be fine, I promise."

Zoey shook her head, not convinced. "I just have a bad feeling about this. That family is full of surprises. I don't want anything bad to happen to you. Please be careful."
