We Have Zoey

He sank to his knees on the cold pavement, his hands trembling with exhaustion and despair. Tears pricked at the corners of his eyes as he struggled to catch his breath, the enormity of the situation crashing down on him like a tidal wave.

"I won't give up, Zoey," he whispered, his voice barely a whisper in the empty night. "I'll find you, no matter what it takes. I promise."

With renewed determination, Kim pushed himself to his feet and continued his search, his heart aching with the desperate need to bring Zoey back home where she belonged.

Kim sat on the couch, scrolling through his phone. He had just come back from the police station, to write down his statement. Suddenly, the ringing of his phone interrupted the silence of his apartment. He looked at the caller ID, his heart was beating fast when he saw it was Zoey's number.

"Hey, Zoey. What's up?" he answered casually.
