As soon as he realised that he was the one they were talking about, Jake took a few steps backwards. "Boss... Don't look at me that way. It's like you wanna eat me whole. I'm innocent," He cried out with a pitiful look, rushing to stand behind Alan.

The latter tried to move away but he held him. Since Alan learnt how to use him as his shield, he won't hesitate to do the same. It's called repaying bad deeds with bad deeds!

"Did you or did you not say that?," Leo demanded, standing akimbo.

Jake swallowed noiselessly,"I said so boss." His voice was low, so low that they almost didn't hear him. "But believe me boss, I never mentioned anything else to him. I didn't even tell him to call her cousin in-law."

"Don't call her that again. She is not even my girlfriend," Jake and Alan exchanged a look while Leo turned back to the suitcase he was unpacking.

They shrugged at each other with a similar confused look on their faces. If she isn't his girlfriend, then who is she to him?
