Chapter 157 - Regret and Coffee

Regret.

That was what Ariel felt as she stood in the middle of a café staring into the eyes of her former enemy.

Ariel had stopped to get coffee that morning. She was just about to leave the cafe when the chiming of the bell signalled a customer had come in.

Ariel smiled at the staff and had her coffee in one hand. She had turned around to leave only to be faced with Ella. Her blonde hair was straight, and she was dressed in a hoodie with a pair of shorts.

It was the most casual Ariel had seen Ella. Hee skin wasn't glowing like when she was dating Troy, and she didn't have any makeup on making her look pale.

Ariel looked at the time on her watch and realised she was going to be running late. She looked away from Ella who had been glaring at her and chose to ignore her presence.

Ariel didn't want to ruin her morning, so she walked past Ella, but she was held back by Ella's tight grip, pulling her back as she dug her chipped nails into her skin.
