Mark was happy to hear that that he stood up and reached out his hand for a handshake. He didn’t expect Charles to shake him but then Charles surprised him by shaking him.

This made him believe that Charles had really bought his lies, and trusted him. He didn’t know it would be that easy, but he was glad.

“It’s my luck.” He thought to himself.

“Alright, you can take your leave now. I have a few other things to attend to.” Charles said, with a smile.

“But I thought I was in your league now. Can’t I attend to the things with you?” Mark asked, hoping it was something he would get useful information from.

“You are in my league means I have a use for you. And this is the part you’ll be helping me in. It also means other parts or category is none of your business, Mark. Do you want to break the trust you just built with me?” Charles said, through his teeth.

“No…no. Absolutely not.” Mark responded hastily.

“Alright then. See you when next there is a meeting.”
