Chapter Thirty-nine

Charles was in his sitting room, sitting with a glass of wine in his left hand. He was still thinking about the strange call he had earlier, and who could possibly be after his life.

It was strenuous to keep thinking about which of his enemies was really bent on killing him. He didn’t think Mark would try to kill him again after sparing his life in exchange for their legacy.

He sipped his drink slowly, then placed it on the marble center table. Charles exhaled, and leaned his head back to the chair, staring at the beautiful chandelier on the ceiling. He decided not to worry about who was trying to kill him now as he had another plan on the list.

So many plans to pull down those that had mistreated him when he was nothing, and he was patiently, and slowly going to rip him off, and next on his list was his father, and step brothers.
