Angela sat in her lavish sitting room, a room that had witnessed her family's rise and now its fall. The warm sunlight filtered through the elegant curtains, casting a warm glow over her face. Grief clung to her like a heavy shroud as she thought over the loss of the family company, a legacy handed down through generations.

"I can't believe he did this to us," Angela muttered to herself. Her eyes were fixed on a family portrait hanging on the wall, a painful reminder of happier times.

“How could Charles do this to me?” She shook her head in anger. “And then, he befriended that woman. He replaced me with her. Imagine!”

Vera had been a constant thorn in Angela's skin since she saw her at Charles’ place. She felt like Charles preferred Vera to her. Her pain increased when he humiliated her in front of Vera.

Just as Angela's despair threatened to consume her, the TV suddenly came to life with breaking news. The sight that met her eyes sent shockwaves through her.
