While they were all on their way back home, Charles had put a call through to his doctor, just so the doctor would either get to his house before him or a few minutes after him.

“How did this happen?” Vera asked, inquisitively, finding it difficult to make sense of how the bomb in James’ arm, stopped beeping without Longman’s invention.

“Vera, it’s nothing to think deeply about. The main thing is that he’s free now, and what we need to do next is to remove the bomb from his arm.”

Charles didn’t want anyone to suspect too much that there was something fishy about it, and even he himself had not understood totally, how the system works now.

Not long after they got home, the doctor appeared as well, and he injected James with an anesthetic.

“Do you feel anything here?” The doctor asked, poking that part.

“No… I just feel numb around that part.” James responded, looking a bit nervous about the process of removal.

“Alright, just relax. As you know, it’s not going to hurt, and I’m going to
