Her eyelids fluttered to be certain that she saw the right thing, but when she opened her eyes to look at him again, his facial expression had turned back to normal.

“Is anything wrong? Why are you staring at me like that?” Louis asked, with a smile on his face.

“Uhm… Nothing.” Vera replied as she shook her head and then turned her head to the other side of the car.

Louis then chuckled, and bit his lower lip.

“I guess since you accepted me to be in your life, you have come to accept your feelings and now, they’re taking over in a rush. You were probably wondering how you came to love me so fast. Well, I’ll tell you.”

Vera turned to look at him, interested in what he had to say next.

“Well, it’s because it’s fate. Fate brought us together, Vera, and it made both of us fall in love.” He spoke, and then leaned over to kiss her on her forehead.

“Come on, Louis.” She chuckled. “Eyes on the road.” She said to him, and let out a breath which was relieving her of all the tension she got while
