Chapter 1: Our Story Begins

In the beginning, there was nothing but darkness. An unrelenting

void of black that engulfs the whole universe. However, in this void,

fiant glimers of light started to manifest. In time, these lights didn't just

become brighter, they gained a life of their own.

Ten lights in total brought life to the never ending void. these lights

will forever be known as the Ten Gods of creation. The Gods brought

about the creation of the stars, immense balls of burning gas that lights

up these entities' path as they play with one another.

These Gods then decided to create life within the void, making more

friends for them to play along with. Once settled, they made a home for

the lifeforms they will make in the form of a planet, a ball made up of

things they have thought up of that the creatures they will be making

will need to survive, since the Gods can't give these new lifeforms the

same abilities they possess.

Once done creating the planet, the Ten Gods filled it with an array of

creatures ranging from ones that can fly across the skys, to ones

that can swim and dive deep within the oceans, to ones that can walk

and run across the lands.

The Gods were not satisfied with the assortments of creatures, however,

and decided to make one more type. One that has the ability to think

and make complex decisions like they can. A type of creature that can

rival their creativity and knowledge. So, the Gods made us, the human race.

Once finished, the God marveled and took pride of what they've made,

and celebrated by playing with the creatures they created. Shrinking

down to fit the size of the residents of the planet. Dancing, swiming, flying,

and running along side them in gleeful fun.

However, this joyous celebration of life is not to last, for beyond the

reaches of the dark void of the universe, a melevolent being watched

the Gods in jelous rage. Biding it's time, growing in power until it's

strong enough to destroy everything the Gods made, and bask in the

carnage it plans to unleash.

At the time of our Lords, 4304 AC (after creation), there are now six

kingdoms that rule over the lands. Fardest up in the North, and the

riches kingdom is Gratige. Just south of it is the kingdom of Tistodra.

Next is the kingdom of Maljus, home to the great mages of power. And

the remaining kingdoms are Brushgi, Mayinkov, and Hegiyet. All

kingdoms govern their lands by ways of their culture, fairly and without interference from one another.

Then, on that same year, the horrors of the war to be forever known as The Apocalypse War broke out.

On an unassuming morning. in the town of Samjor, fardest South of the Hegiyet kingdom,

a mysterious Obsidian like castle suddenly errected

itself from the ground. Near by people flocked towards the huge castle,

unaware that the dark structure is emitting a poisonous miasma,

capable of killing any living creature within it's radious.

As the near by citizens succumbs to the effect of the miasma, the ma-

ssive doors of the castle began to open, revealing the insidious occu-

pants within.

A gigantic humanoid monster with three sets of eyes, and toothy grin

that showed sharp teeth, each one 5 times bigger than a human's body.

The creature is accompanied by four men on hourseback.

As they came out from the opening of the castle, the giant creature

began to speak."Behold, mortals." The giant said. "I am Zormonth, the

God of Darkness. And these are my four generals of Apocalypse. The

age of humanity ends here." The so called God of Darkness continued

to proclaim.

Only a few town's folks managed to escape the onslaught that day.

The surviving people relayed all the information they have with the officials

that they spoke to once they reached the nearest city. The officials

sent out scouts that confirmed the survivers' claims, and added even

more desturbing findings.

Other than the giant God and his four generals, they are accompanied

by approximately over two hundred grotesque humanoid creatures

with four arms. All of them marching towards the city.

With the grimm news, the city evacuated the civilians to the crown city

of Hegiyet as the army of nine hundred soldiers strong awaited for the

dark hord to approach. What followed was a bloodbath, as the army of

the dark God laid waste to their enemies and somehow changed their

corpses and converted the once human soldiers into the same

monsters that killed them.

The army of Apocalypse continues it's march, decimating verything in

it's path. Once the kingdom of Hegiyet completely fell, and the ever

growing army of monsters sets their eyes on on the kingdom of Mayinkov,

the rulers of each kingdom opted to meet and pry for the help of their Gods.

As the group of Kings desperately seek the Gods for help, three beings

made out of light descended from the heavens to heed humanity's cry

for help.

However, even with the aid of the Gods, the forces of darksness conti-

nues to gain the upper hand. Even killing one of the Gods in a heated

battle.

As the situation gets dire, since the fall of the Mayinkov kingdom and

the kigndom of Brushgi soon to follow, new hope emerge in the form of

a young prince named Vintry Cayev, the third prince of the Tistodra

kingdom.

The young prince devised a plan to separate and kill the four generals

that have been key in the Dark God's victory over the humans, one by

one.

By sacrificing his body to one of the Gods, the God can live within the

prince and manifest a new power that may be enough to kill the

generals and even take the generals' powers for themselves.

This new plan will have to lead to even more sacrifices, however,  in

order to buy them enough time for the plan's preparation, most of the

Mages in the kingdom of Maljus lured the dark army in to a trap.

As the dark army closed in on them, the mages unleashed their most powerfull

magical trap, incasing both them and the hord of monstrousities in a

dome made of nigh invulnerable magic crystal. The great Mages gave

humanity four days to lay their plan for victory.

Once the Dark God and his minions broke free from the dome, a magic

teleportation trap was set around the dome to teleport one general at a time

in a preset destination. As soon as the first general was killed by

the now God powered prince Vintry, the tide of the battle has shifted.

One by one, the generals fell from either ambush or direct attacks.

The final battle was fought where it started, inside the Obsidian castle

with both Prince Vintre and the Dark God Zormonth locked in a battle

to the death. Once the dust settled, Prince Vintry was able to vanquish

Zormonth, but not without succumbing to a fatal blow the God gave him.

The mighty prince gave his life to a gratefull world that looks up to him as a true hero.

It has been three thousand years since that fateful day the Prince slew

the evil God, and to honor the memory of our mythical hero, I, Jinbu

Pakesh, an acomplished novelist from the Tistodra kingdom, will be

making a full novel based on the life of savior of mankind.

It would be my greatest masterpeice. Better than my epic romance, The Lovers beyond the Lycoth Seas.

And grander than my adventure novel, The search for the Final Mages' Staff.

And I will not just be quoting the holly scriptures or plagiarizing the historical texts.

I'll be using information from someone that has been residing in the Obsidian Castle.

Based on all my research into the life of the legendary hero, using an

assortment of historical writings, when Prince Vintry killed a general,

he trapped it's soul in a dagger. Once the dagger has been filled with the

general's soul, the prince will be able to use that general's power.

By the end, the hero prince was able to use the powers of the Plague, Conquest, War, and Death generals.

At Prince Vintry's subsiquint victory and death in the hands of the

Dark God, the four daggers were laid on the floor, but since the prince

was the one that made the daggers using his magic, no one else can

wield them. Any one that tried were said to have turned to dust the

moment contact was made.

Since no one else can use them, rather than try to take it out of the Obsidian Castle,

the kingdoms decided to gather their best warriors, and

with the powers and weapons given by the Gods, guard them for eternity.

The tradition of guarding the Obsidian Castle and the deadly weapons

within it has continued for over three tousand years, with the kingdoms

secretly sending warriors to be gaurdian monks, and none has even left

their post for these thousands of years. Until four days ago, when it was

reported that someone who appears to be a monk walking out of the castle.

More surprising is the report also says that the monk seemed to be

carrying four daggers with him.

This may possibly be the only time that I'll be able to converse with

someone that may have a fresh take on the the legend of the hero prince,

since no one has ever disclosed what the inside of the castle looks like

nor the teachings of the monks guarding it is.

The report from the radio also states that the monk seems to be heading

towards the trade city of Carcasa, north east of the Obsidian Castle. If

I want to find out more about the life of our ancient savior, I need to talk

to this monk. I'm heading to Carcasa now via air ship to catch up to

him. Hopefully, I'll be able to get all the information I need to finish my

novel.
