Aidan looked at the figure that came into the room he was locked in. "Hey Cora." Aidan greeted when he saw Cora's angry face. "Hey stubborn man." She answered and beckoned to him to come over. "Let's get out of here." She said and headed out of the room. The hulk like security man was still peering at him discreetly. He wonders what he just be thinking, there was confusion on his face and Aidan loves the expression. As they got into the lift, the silence was choking him. He's a fab of silence but not at the expense when he has something bugging him to say. "Uhmmm...Cora." He called out to her unsure of what her reaction would be. "Yes boss." She answered, her eyes still focused on a particular direction. "A.K would do Cora, I'm not your boss." He corrected feeling a bit awkward by the fact that he was being addressed as a boss. "Alright." The simple answer came."I'm sorry about your mom's death." He finally let it out and if anyone asked him, that was the toughest thing he'd
"Attack!" Came the sharp order from one of the men. Aidan was in daze, but he quickly recovered himself and looked around for something to defend himself. He didn't care to ask what's happening and why it's happening because he knew a sword or more would be buried deep into his body if he questioned anyone. He couldn't find anything to defend himself and the men quickly surrounded him from all angles making it a suicide mission if he attempts to escape. "This won't be a fair fight you know." He said with a mean grin. His eyes were on every corner to prevent any unexpected attack from any angle. "I'm unarmed, martial arts have rules...you wouldn't attack an unarmed gentleman, would you?" The sarcasm in his voice was so evident that the men boiled more in anger. They seem to be deliberating on what to do. Aidan heard a sword kick towards him and he looked at the sword. These men seem to be reasonable and know the laws that go in line with martial arts. Had it been any other situ
Aidan's stomach plummeted, icy tendrils of anger clutching his inside. He couldn't feel the pain of the stitching anymore, his grandfather's words were enough to make him numb to all physical pains. What does he think of him? A puppet? A puppet he can control and do as he pleases? He'd been away from him for years, he accepted whatever explanations he'd offered without questioning his sense of judgment because he felt some strange emotional attachment to him. He felt drawn to him in a way he couldn't understand or even comprehend. He'd stayed in his big mansion, accepted every decision he'd taken about his life without question. Why? Because he thought he knew best. He has asked him to come to his office, despite knowing the tedious process it takes to see him, he didn't make any attempt to make things easier for him. Why? Like seriously, why? What does he want from him? To make things worse, he was attacked by some ass holes with swords in their hands, they even injured
"Aren't you done already?" Aidan asked impatiently looking at Cora who seemed to be taking forever to stitch the derm wound on his arm."Quit fretting and let me concentrate, Aidan." She said with clenched teeths trying hard to concentrate on what she was doing."I'm not fretting, you need to be fast.""I'm trying to be fast, junior boss.""I told you Aidan will do." He corrected, he didn't like being called junior boss, Aidan is much more preferable. "You're so dramatic." She scoffed at him."Says the drama queen herself, get this thing done with so we can head out."Cora chose to ignore him or she won't be able to hurry and stitch him up. The wound wasn't that deep, hopefully there won't be any mark on him by the time it heals or perhaps it might get a scar. It's a fifty- fifty thing. Aidan grunted in frustration, it was just a little cut, it would have healed by itself but he's sure they won't allow him to go if it's not stitched up.Why are they treating him like some child?
"You can't fight Aidan." Cora fretted, hoping that Aidan would listen to her. She's already regretting bringing him here, she'd thought he'd feel better watching the fights happening in the Arena, she doesn't know the stubborn man would wish to fight. This is a deadly fight and she's sure Mr. Kal won't appreciate it if Aidan fights here and risks his identity. She looked at Aidan's unamused face. The young man didn't even give her a glance. "Aidan, I'm talking to you." She muttered and gave her a smooth punch. Still, he didn't move a muscle. He just stared at no particular direction and Cora was already frustrated. She hates being ignored, in a sense..no one likes to be ignored. So sad for her cause that seems to be Aidan's hobby. "I'm talking to you block head!" She almost shouted before he gave her a silent deadly glare."What?" He asked with an icy voice. "Stop feigning to me, you clearly heard what I said to you." She was getting irritated and annoyed at the same time."Ho
The whole Arena went rowdy as people ran in different directions, with the whole Arena engulfed in darkness and gunshots firing in different directions...escaping in such a condition isn't the best for the two. Thank goodness they were in the VIP section of the Arena which saves them from being trampled upon but that doesn't save them from being hit by any stray bullet. Aidan pulled Cora and searched for a solid wall he had seen earlier. Once his hand hit the wall, he kicked away the chairs there and pulled Cora, he immediately lay down with her. Cora's thought were a mess, what the fuck is happening? Why are they shooting into the air? Why does this have to happen today that he got Aidan here? There used to be some commotion here but not to the extent of shooting in different directions when the room is in pure darkness. The man she was supposed to protect is protecting her instead, he'd lie her on the floor and lie beside her, using his body to shield her from unknown danger
They sat in the car and the vehicle immediately sped off, the driver was none other than Jonas himself. He looked at his daughter and Aidan through the rear mirror and shook his head. What would have happened had he not been alerted on time about the whole mishap? He'd warned Cora several times not to go into that deadly Arena ever again but the ever stubborn girl wouldn't listen to him. "Hmmmmm" He let out a sign. Cora meant the world to her and Aidan meant the whole wide world to Mr. Kal, had anything happened to those two.....he can't imagine what will happen. Mr. Kal had been so stressed out when he learnt of the shootout in the Arena the kids went to. No one knew Aidan was his blood but he was called because Cora was spotted there. Mr. Kal was sad, angry and devastated at the same time. He'd ordered the person responsible for the shootout to be handed to the authorities and Jonas is pretty sure that Mr. Kal would ensure the punishment of the man in question. He'd had a s
Cora gulped down a saliva and prayed feverishly to God... If she ever got out of this mess without any form of punishment, she'd never disobey her father ever again. Lie! Something in her scream but she ignored it, she really meant her words... Least, for a few days. "I asked her to take me somewhere I can take my anger off. Wrestling has always been my favorite sport and Jonas here could testify to that, I never knew taking me there would get her into trouble, had I known.. I'll have seek another way." Aidan quickly defended Cora who was fidgeting with her clothes.Jonas looked at Aidan who kept a straight face and to Cora who was staring at Aidan. Mr. Kal had a blank expression and Cora immediately added, "I'm sorry boss, I promise that it won't happen again.""I know it won't because I'll have that place shut down with immediate effect, the game is deadly and I'll not have you dancing around with danger." Mr. Kal said with a note of finality and Aidan and Cora exchanged looks.
