Chapter 5

As David slept, he had a strange dream, similar to the memory that came to him when Binaru spoke about the dark dragon warriors.

In his dream David saw himself standing face to face with the fire dragon warrior he saw in his memory, surrounded by dragon warriors in the forest.

“Come with us now boy and we promise not to harm you” said the fire dragon warrior.

“No, you can’t make me,” said David.

“You will come with us whether you want to or not” said the fire dragon warrior before he grabbed David by the arm.

“Let go of ME!!!!!!” said David as his voice slowly became as deep and ferocious as that of a dragon and his eyes glowing with violet light.

After David spoke a flash of light consumed everything for a brief moment but when the light began to disappear, David witnessed something that would send chills down any man’s spine.

All the dragon warriors that surrounded him laid down on the ground dead and lifeless, some of them were impaled with spike made out of stone that sprouted out from the ground, others looked like they had drowned underneath a vast ocean as they were all wet with water sipping out of their mouths, most were burnt to a crisp with not but ashes as their remains, and those that remained looked like every single ounce of air in them was suck out directly from their lungs.

Out of all the dragon warriors that stood before him, only one remain, the leader of the dragon warriors that laid dead on the forest floor.

The fire dragon warrior used his hands to cover the left side of his face which looked like it was badly wounded.

The fire dragon warrior turned to his dead men and then looked back at David with rage and anger in eyes as he held on to his wounded face.

“Mark my words child, this won’t be the last time we see each other, I’ll be back for you” said the fire dragon warriors.

The fire dragon warrior then summoned his fight dragon and rode away.

As the fire dragon warrior left a cloud of darkness appeared out of nowhere and consumed everything, trapping David within it, in an empty void of darkness.

David then heard a voice with in the darkness, crying out with a ferocious voice, “Let me out. Let me out. Let me out”.

David upon hearing the voice felt a chill in his spine as the voice alone was enough to fill anyone with fear and terror.

David, though terrify of voice her heard followed the echoes of the ferocious voice, curious to know who the voice belonged to.

The echoes led David to what looked like a prison that floating aimlessly through the dark void.

“Let me out” the voice cried out from within the cell.

“Who are you?” asked David but the voice’s only answer the same word it had been repeating over and over again, “Let me out”.

David then went closer to the cell and then saw a pair of violet glowing dragon like eyes glowing from the darkness with the prison.

Upon seeing the eyes, David eyes widen with horror as they reminded him of the wave his eyes glowed violet right before the flash of light and all though dragon warriors died.

“Let me…” the creature with violet dragon eyes said from with the darkness of the cell before reaching out its two arms and grabbing hold of David.

“OUT!!!!!!!!!!!” the creature yelled with a fury of a dragon in his voice.

David upon hearing the voice furious of the creature woke, panting and cover with sweat.

David stopped breathing heavily once he realized it was only just a dream.

He then got up from bed and then sighed deeply, wondering what his dream meant.

Abari would often advise him not to take any of his dreams seriously as they were only dreams and he would listen to her, ignoring every bad dream he had but the dream he had this time was something he could not ignore.

The dream felt real, almost as though everything he saw had exactly happened.

David could not really explain it but he knew the dream he had was no mere dream.

He thought about telling Abari for a brief moment but decided not to, knowing that she would telling him the same thing she always told him whenever he had a dream that felt real, that it was only just a dream.

David decided to keep the dream to himself, until he could make sense of it.

As the day progress Abari went to the forest alone once again and David stayed with Binaru.

David noticed that Binaru had recovered greatly that day as most of his minor wounds were healed and could now walk on his two feet without support, usually before he was assisted by David or Abari to get up but now he would do it on his own.

Binaru wasn’t fully recovered though and could not risk be leaving without recovering fully recovered.

David upon seeing Binaru slowly recovering realized that he didn’t have much time and would have to make a decision soon before Binaru completely recovers and leaves.

Binaru and David spent their time together talking about the world.

Binaru, told David about the places he had been as Golden Dragon Guard, the vast lands and oceans he had seen.

Binaru avoided talking about the dark dragon warriors as he wished not to speak of them and their vile nature.

David, asked many questions, wanting to know everything he could about the world he lived in.

Binaru happily answer every single one of them.

Soon David realized that it was time for him to leave, as he had been with Binaru all day talking and he had to leave to allow him rest.

Before David left though, Binaru asked him, “Have made up your mind yet about my offer”.

David nodded his head no before saying, “I need more time”.

“You do have time but by the time my wounds fully heal it would be all gone” said Binaru.

David sighed upon hearing what Binaru said before leaving.
