Chapter 9

Chapter nine:New partner

Few hours Later

"Am back".Mason announced after arriving from the gym.

"Welcome back,i hope you didn't exhaust yourself at the gym because we've got work to do.i said handing him a bottle of water.

"Work"?.Mason asked.

"Yea,follow me i've got something to show you".i said leading the way to my secret underground room.

"Woah,i didn't know you had an underground inside your house,it's so huge and sophisticated ".mason replied as he walked around the room admiring it's detailed structure and building techniques.

"Alright Mason,you're going to have more than enough time to admire the room more later,but first i want you to meet someone".i said

"And who might you be". mason asked looking at the man very closely.

"Hola,am Rowen Driscoll".Rowen replied extending his hand for a shake.

"Am Mason Bennett,nice to meet you".Mason replied.

"From now on,Rowen will be assisting us in our mission to bring down Vandel."i said after the introduction.

"Uhm.......Jay can i speak to you for a while".Mason asked not looking too excited about the news i just shared with him.

"Yea,sure what is it about".I asked as he stared at me for a while before finally speaking.

"I mean privately".Mason replied giving me an eye signal.

"Well then,I'll have to excuse myself,but if you need anything just call me".Rowen said before leaving the room.

"No offense Jay,but who exactly is this guy,where does he come from,where does he work that's even if he has a job,why is he here and more importantly what benefit does he get out of helping us".Mason asked.

"Take a sit,i will explain everything to you from the beginning".Jay said as they both sat down.

"Remember twelve years ago at LA Marie federal prison,the day i saved the life of Harvey Elrod,even though at first we didn't get along well back then,i still felt that no matter what he has done,he didn't deserve to die that's why i decided to help him out.

After that day,he made me a promise to help me out with whatever i might need in the future.

At first,i didn't think he meant what he said until six years ago,i received a phone call from him.He told me that he had been released from prison and has gotten back his position as one of the leaders of 'prestamista De Dinero' an organisation which serve as lenders to criminals who needs money to run their business,which is later returned with interest.

He told me that he was still ready to honor the promise he made to me,but i never really had use of it because i was living a peaceful and happy life with my family.After their deaths,i was broken and powerless.I didn't know what to do or who to turn to.Finally,i decided to call Harvey in hopes that he would still be willing to help and he did.

He gave me a huge some of money which i used to purchase this house,buy all the necessary equipment, and other things i needed.The last time i spoke to him,i told him that i needed someone who is both loyal and reliable and will be able to Infiltrate Vandel's organization undercover and that's when he introduced me to Rowen.He told me that Rowen has worked with him basically all his life.

He's not only trustworthy,but also a skilled fighter and someone who has vast knowledge of things concerning the blackmarket,that's exactly the type of person we need and that's why Harvey sent him here to help us out.I said.

"Well then Jay, if that's what you think then so be it,all am just saying is that we shouldn't let our guard down no matter what".Mason replied.

"I understand".Jay said.

"So,should we call him back in".Mason asked.

"Its a really long drive from Hub city,he must be really exhausted,let him rest for now,cause tough days lies ahead of us".Jay said.

"Alright then".Mason replied.

The Next Day

"Well gentlemen,bringing down Vandel isn't going to be an easy task.He is someone that has been in this business for years,he is powerful,skilled and also has a lot of connections,so this can also be said to be a suicide mission,to get out of it alive,we need to plan every step we are going to take carefully and cautiously.

We need to be steps ahead of him so that we can successfully destroy him and put an end to his reign of terror.But firstly,Rowen i just want to tell you how grateful i am for you being here to help us out,even if you didn't know us,you were still willing to help us out,that means a lot to me".i asked trying to understand his life story.

"Well amigo,am glad that i can help out.When Mr Harvey told me about your life story,i was really touched.It reminded me of my childhood days,i lost my parents at a very young age in a car accident.The rest of my siblings died one after the other from sickness while the others from starvation until i was the only one left,and then at that moment when i thought i would die,he saved my life,he took me in,clothed,fed and trained me to become someone strong and dependable.

I owe him my life,and when he asked me to help you out with your mission,i was more than happy to help because this is my own little way of repaying the kindness that be has shown me".Rowen said telling us about his life story.

"They say tough days build stronger men,that's what we've been through,and now we are going to do our very best.We need to plan our actions very carefully.To destroy a cartel,you need to know ever single detail about its operations starting from the roots,and thankfully,I've been able get all the information we need to know".I said filled with confidence".

"Really?how exactly did you obtain such information".Mason asked.

"I got it from an old colleague of mine.

De Ahkursta,but now his dead."I said giving a heavy sigh.

"Did you kill him".Mason asked.

"Of course not,i wouldn't waste my time killing someone that's already doom to die anyway.It was Vandel who killed him.

"And how exactly do you know that".Mason asked again.

"Its all over the news,his dead body was found washed ashore a lake with two of his hands cut off and a note on his neck,boldly written on it "DEATH TO TRAITORS".All written in blood,now tell me who except Vandel will have the guts to do such thing in broad day light.Jay said.

"You're right,so now what's our plan of action".Mason asked.

"The map gives a detailed description and location of Vandel's warehouses spread throughout El Paso and the ledger contains names and details of potential clients,buyers,sellers and most of all competitors.

With such information in our possession we can use it to infiltrate the organization.The cartel is planning an expansion and soon,they are going to need more men to help out with the business,once the recruiting begins,that's when Rowen,you will have to find a way to join the new members and from there on,the rest lies in your hands,we can only help you from the outside so that it won't arouse suspicions about you and from there on out,you have to try much as possible to win the favor of the bosses."Jay said.

"But how exactly are we supposed to know when they start recruiting".Rowen asked.

"That won't be a problem,one way or the other,they are going have to give an announcement or probably a writing about it,we should try as much as possible to keep our eyes and ear opened at all times so we won't miss the opportunity".Jay replied.

"El Paso doesn't have much surveillance camera's around,so i will try to use my hacking skills to access the available ones to keep watch on the drug activities around El Paso".

"That's going to help out a lot,but another problem that we might face is that we don't have much weapons around,i tried acquiring some,but i couldn't since,they've all been bought by the cartel,we can't get any from El Paso nor can we smuggle any into El Paso without getting caught,so for now,we have to play it safe and stay away from any trouble or confrontations until we are sure we have the upper hand and then,we strike.But what's most important is survival till the very end".Jay said.

"To fraternidad".Mason said stretching his fist forward.

"To fraternidad".Jay replied going his fist with Mason's.

"Well then,what can i say, to fraternidad".Rowen said joining his fist to complete the circle.
