There was silence again, and Zachary guessed that the guy's brain had gone to mush. He grunted softly.

"Then we'll talk in person, and I'll see you this afternoon." Quilly hung up politely but smiled at Zachary.

This rookie, he's gone!!!

Zachary pressed off the phone and tried to impress Quilly with a wink, but Ms. Ara is hard-hearted and he has to wheedle his way to the top.

"Then let's say 6:30 p.m. It won't take up too much of your time."

She channeled so many old stories and went out of her way to annoy him, just to see Zachary's truest reaction when he was caught up in memories and therefore defenseless.

His words just fell when he suddenly heard a subtle ringing. The second note just popped up, and he instantly recognized the tune. He couldn't name it, but it was a certain domestic cell phone's initial ringtone from a few generations ago. It had long been replaced by countless generations and songs. This song had simply become old into a memory.
