Thirty points. That is the total amount that Daemon got from defeating the fighters before ending up having to come across George. He didn’t spend a single one of these points before reaching this enemy because, he wanted to think clearly where he should be using all of this on.There are fights that only gave him one point and, surprisingly, the last ten fights before George gave him two points each instead of just one. With all of these points combined, he can make one of his stats reach fifty. Granting him a pseudo passive skill that’d be useful in his clash against Geroge. It only took him a couple of seconds to arrive at the conclusion he needed. He isn’t even thinking of George because, his mind is focused d on another opponent. One that he has to extract revenge on for the murder of Naga Kazem. None other than the leader of the Vipers. A man who calls himself Snake. From their encounter alone, Daemon can surmise that this person has impressive speed. So much so that Daemon isn
Ten years ago, there are two young children that sat in the corner of a dark alley. Around them are a couple of thugs that they’ve beaten up – fully unconscious without any signs of waking up soon. The two have already taken in all of the belongings that these thugs have on them and, are simply taking their rest before they make a run for it. And these two are none other than George and Leon.“What do you think Leon? Do we have what it takes to get inside the Elites?” This question came out of nowhere. George blurted it out, probably because of the recent fight that finished. One which made him feel stronger; more confident in what he can do.“Is that even a question?” Leon replied with a wide grin. “You’re talking to the man who’d stand at the peak of everyone! Of course we’d be able to enter that place.”Between the two of them, Leon has a lot more confidence. Though it’s George who is undoubtedly stronger, Leon has a lot more in terms of charisma and drive. Then there’s George who
Punches. Daemon traded one punch after the other as George continued relentlessly pursuing and attacking him. It has come to a point where his opponent is now sticking on to him like some glue that cannot be removed no matter what he does. That is the level of pursuit that George is performing, enough to place Daemon on edge as he is steadily running out of steam.Daemon’s stamina has gotten higher because of all the fighting, training, and mission completing that he’s done during his stay in the organization. But all of these doesn’t seem to amount to much in that fight because, the attacks of his enemy simply continued increasing in strength and intensity - draining Daemon of his stamina even higher than usual. Though that doesn’t mean he’s going to lose.Within these exchanges, there are times when Daemon would see openings. Small windows where he can counter his opponent and, within the three minutes that passed, Daemon hasn’t taken any of these yet. He knows that doing so would b
The silhouette of a person can be seen rushing making his way to the parking area of the Elites headquarters. The underground floor where some of the military vehicles are also kept. There is a soundproofing within this place which makes the man’s movements all the more subtle. Though he doesn’t need something like this since he isn’t even in a state of panic.“Looks like everything’s just about finished.” He said as he placed a couple of things into his black lambo. A stack of papers to be exact which, seems to be something he shouldn’t have his hands on.He’s also watching the events that are happening in the Arena as well. Though he isn’t there, he has access to the live feed of the matches. And at the moment, it is already declared that Daemon has defeated the current number one martial scholar.“Man, I really thought they’d be able to kill the target.” The man murmured to himself. “They got wiped out instead. This is frustrating as hell.”He closed the door at the passenger seat.
Two things happened during the day of Daemon’s fight at the Arena. The fist is that, this teen is able to gain the spot as the number one fight of the martial arts division of his organization in the most amazing and spectacular way possible. Defeating a total of sixty opponents as he reaches this pinnacle and, even finishing it off with a spectacular performance against the current number one – George Crom. The second thing that happened is the death of the spy – Julian Kier. The news about his betrayal didn’t spread to the whole organization, nor is his family informed of it. The only thing that Desmond told to the public is that, Julian died because he was placed in a mission that’s too dangerous for his own good. Naturally, this caused Julian’s family to hate the man. Though Desmond doesn’t care about this resentment at all since, it’s the least he can do for a fallen comrade, even if this person did betray him.Just like that, a week has passed. New instructors have been taken in
“Father!” Yvonne barged inside the office of the Academy’s head.Just as she’s exclaimed, this is her father. That’s why she’s able to act the way she is. Doing stuff that would normally earn a couple of sanctions from the school head. Yet all she received is a stare from her father and a quick sigh.“Yvonne, I told you not to call me that within school grounds.” Evon simply said as he went back to his business. Signing a stack of papers that are on top of his desk.“Is it true? Is he really going to enroll at the Academy?” Yvonne asked, still using the same impolite tone as she did when she entered. “I’m assuming you mean Daemon?” Evon replied, not even getting his eyes off of the thing that he’s doing – his hand continually moving to the new sheet where he has to sign. All while skimming through the contents of these.“Of course he’s the one I’m talking about.” Yvonne quickly replied.“Don’t make it too much of a deal mis Summers. He’s just another transferee from the Elites, same
The first day of classes. There has been a week-long break for the students of the Academy before this. Though they don’t need something like a long break because they have a lot of freedom in their studies and extra-curricular activities, it is still given to them because of another reason. The preparations. They need to prepare for the coming of the new students. The ones who enrolled and, more importantly, the ones who’d be attending from the Elites organization. This is a day where a welcoming ceremony is held. There are various activities that are done within the duration of the day; including a tour around the whole of the Academy’s campus. Of course, Daemon doesn’t need any of this because he already has the place memorized at the back of his head. And, speaking of this same person, he’s now on his way to the Academy.“Do you remember the things that we discussed before leaving?” Ashley, sitting beside him, asked. The two of them are inside a car provided by the Elites. This i
“Welcome to the Academy”“That’s a nice greeting.” Daemon said. “Thanks for having us.”“We are the representatives from the Elites organization, I’m sure you’ve already been told that.” The one who spoke in behalf of the Elites isn’t Daemon. It’s another scholar hailing from the Intelligence Division. One that’s purely made for the sake of raising intellectual geniuses. Those that’d be good in a classroom setting. And this woman has the number one rank in that very same division – Bellatrix Bradley,Even during the culling week where everyone does everything within their means to claim the number one spot, she remained as the dominant person in the rankings. There has been nobody who’s able to defeat her in terms of intelligence and, this in itself, has Daemon being interested in her.The woman has long silvery white hair which is also normal for her. This isn’t some kind of fashion statement but rather something she’s been born with. Other than this, she also has blood red eyes whi
