Dealing With Tantrums

Christian shouted a couple of curses while Desmond left the meeting room. No matter what threats he made, no matter what tantrums he let out, Desmond didn’t care. It’s like he’s entirely invisible. Like he’s nothing more than another background character and this, more than anything else, pissed him off.

He’s reminded of the days when Daemon still existed. Back when they were younger. How he will always be within the shadow of Daemon’s greatness and how he can never surpass it no matter how hard he tried. How this feeling of inferiority only continued to gnaw at his being even when Daemon was left an orphan – even when he was bullied.

Everything came rushing back. All because there’s a bastard that looks and feels like Daemon and, has the same name as him. But worst of all, because of how he’s treated by the leader of the organization of the Elites.

“Are you alright sir?” Bernard asked as soon as Christian calmed down a little.
