Garden and Wrath

Daemon rushed towards the living room where the fireplace illumines it up to the farthest corners. There’s a bit of darkness that the light can’t touch but that doesn’t matter as the only one that needs to be seen is the man sitting in a couch near the heart of the flames. The man has his eyes closed and his head is tilted towards the blank ceiling. But as soon as the man heard the small hasty steps, he composed himself – facing Daemon who jumped towards his lap without a second of hesitation.

“Someone seems to be full of energy. What’s up sport?”

Daemon’s father lifted him up high into the air. Daemon then offered a lighthearted laughter followed by a plead to be put down. A request that his father granted right away.

“Dear, our son has a question for you.” Daemon’s mother, Octavia, said.

She stood at the door of the room. Not bothering to get further inside as she crossed her hands and placed these right below her chest. Resting her body at the left edge of the doorway.
