Daemon finished everything. From the first training up to the last, he’s able to endure it all. His stamina ran low at the latter parts because [Lesser Vitality] couldn’t keep up so, he had to lower his pride and take the thirty second breaks before continuing with the next part of the training.Even as he did this, he already went past Ashley and George a couple of times so there’s not much that he has to prove. All that’s left is to finish the training itself which, he’s able to accomplish. He’s still the fifth though. The ones who finished first before him on the push ups are the same ones that overcame him at the end. These are the individuals that he has to beat. All the rest are, for Daemon, nothing more than a bunch of weaklings. There’s also something else that he felt during the training. His body was actually a bit lighter when he performed every one of the exercises. This is something he attributed to what he recently achieved. This being the access through the gate of flam
The office of the trainer is at the furthest back of the training hall. This is strategic because, it makes it so that all the noise and disturbances doesn’t reach it. Right next to this are the spare equipments which Daemon glanced at before knocking thrice on the door of Naga’s office.“Boss.” Daemon began.“Come in.” Naga replied.Daemon took the invitation and opened the door – allowing him to see the entirety of Naga’s room which, doesn’t look like the rest of the training hall at all. There are knives and guns placed on the walls as seeming ornaments. What’s even more amazing about this is how perfectly balanced the design looks like with the rest of the room.Meanwhile, Naga is sitting on top of her desk, with her arms crossed again. She’s looking intently at Daemon, not saying a single word until the teen finally closed the door. As soon as he did, Naga said these words:“So you’re a cultivator huh.”Daemon pretended not to know about this right away. He didn’t even have a loo
Daemon’s surprised by the sudden turn of events. Though that’s the case, he’s glad that it happened. With this, he’ll be able to get a better understanding of Cultivation. Something which the demons didn’t offer him at all. That being said, he and Naga went out of the office and back into the training hall. Specifically, they’re now on top of the boxing ring. Daemon doesn’t like it one bit because of what this implies but, before he can even get to asking if he’s right in what he’s thinking, Naga asked:“Alright. Where were we?” She did a couple of stretching with her neck. “Ah yes. Internal energy. You gotta learn how to hide it.”Naga continued stretching her body out. Continuing with her shoulders which she rotated clockwise and counter clockwise.“Why is that so important if the normal people can’t see it?” Daemon asked.“That’s a good question.” Naga said in reply. Though Daemon’s smart, he can’t make any guesses about something he doesn’t understand fully yet. The concept of c
“Holy fuck that felt really good.” Naga shook her wrist as soon as she landed her attack. “You don’t know how long it’s been since I’ve actually punched a person that hard.”Daemon’s sent to the ground. Half-conscious and, probably still processing what just happened. Basically, Naga punched him. One that she delivered with a lot of force behind it so, as soon as it hit Daemon’s face, the teen’s sent crashing to the ground.Had it not been for the kind of footing provided by the boxing ring, Daemon would’ve sustained heavy damage at the back of his head. Just from the sheer impact created by the strike. And as for his face, there’s blood coming out of his nose and he also coughed out blood as soon as he hit the ground.Yet even with the strength of this strike, Naga doesn’t look worried at all. In fact, she’s not even getting close to Daemon to see if he’s still alright. She’s there watching him and waiting for him to get back up on his own. All because she knows that Daemon’s going t
The night’s still young and there are scholars roaming about the whole of the Elites facility. Other than the main building in the middle, there’s another one on the left that’s connected to it and, on the right is a large park that’s accessible only to the Elites.Anyone looking at this can easily assume that the Elites is of the same status as the Academy. Though that is nothing but a farfetched idea. No matter what Desmond does, his group will never be comparable to the Academy. That is the kind of gap there is between the two and, besides, the goal of the Elites has never been to be on the same status as the Academy. No. Its goal has always been to provide great scholars from the slums that are given the opportunity to enroll and study in the Academy. That’s why top-notch training is given to the scholars. This being made possible by the fact that there are top of the line instructors that give these. Among them being Naga Kazem who, in that same evening, is meeting up with the he
[Location: Hell]“Come on, you gotta lend him one of your skills.” Astaroth begged Belial. “This is getting irritating Astaroth. How many does this make it already?” Belial asked.“Fifteen. And I’m not gonna stop until you approve my request.” Astaroth added.“Is that a threat? Because you should know very well that I can just ban you from my domain until you decide to stop with that incessant requesting of yours.” Belial answered. “Besides, doesn’t that human of yours still owe something to Baphomet? He hasn’t even paid it back yet and you want me to give him something new? Get real.”“He’s gonna pay it all back. He’s an interesting and competent mortal I swear.” Astaroth replied as he placed both his hands on Belial’s table.“And what if he can’t pay it back? What then?” Belial asked. “You know that we devils live by contracts. What are you gonna do if he dies before he pays me back in full?” The conversation stopped at that point. It isn’t easy to answer this question because, th
As of the moment, Daemon only knows of two methods of getting skills. The first is by finishing quests. This is how Daemon got his first three skills.[Calm Mind][Lesser Regeneration][Lesser Vitality]Then there’s the second method. The one which Astaroth introduced to Dameon without his consent and, a much more troublesome source of power as well. That is, getting a skill from a demon – the method he used to gain access to [Martial Understanding] as well as the linked skill [Martial Body].That’s why Dameon already knows where his conversation with Astaroth is going. He hasn’t finished any other quest than the one that gave him five extra status points. That leaves him with the only other choice where skills can come from. Another deal with another demon.“What kind of favor do I need to do this time?” Daemon asked right away.[Asta: That’s good, you already understand where this is going.]“Of course, I do. That’s the only route this is going anyway.” Daemon replied.[Asta: Relax,
Daemon didn’t have any nightmares that night. This is a good thing because, in his current state, he’s definitely vulnerable to the nightmares he’s used to experiencing. With the disappearance of [Calm Mind], he doesn’t have an absolute defense against all negative emotions and effects that affects his mind and, a nightmare definitely fits the category of a negative effect. As for the reason why he’s able to escape it altogether, it’s because of how tired he is. The process of taking in the alternative of the said skill took quite the tall on his body. Though he’s able to heal through it, this still caused him extreme drowsiness. Knocking him out cold for eight hours straight until, it’s morning again. The fourth day after his resurrection.…“Daemon!” A person knocked on his door.“Coming!” Daemon said in reply. Just like yesterday, the person who knocked on his door is none other than Ashley. Something which surprised him because, as far as he can remember, she told him that their
