[Afghanistan 20 Years Ago]A young Naga Kazem has her whole body tied up with a rope. A couple of hours ago, she was still in the battlefield with her prized daggers in her hands. The task given to her is the same as everyone else in her unit. To kill as many of the enemies as possible. She doesn’t even have to think of her own life. It is expendable, just like everyone else in her division. All of which are nothing more than children taken in by the Hounds. The name of the organization that they work under.Without any regard for her own safety, she fought in the battlefield relentlessly. She continued hacking down as many as she could, just as she’s been instructed. There’s the sound of gunfire blasting her eardrums, the scent of blood, flesh, and gunpowder, all mixing under the dry heat of noon. Her own heart continued pumping like crazy. As if it would burst from her chest any second and, her sight began to tunnel down. Her only focus are the targets that she’s got to kill. That
Five years passed since Naga first encountered Desmond. During this time, a lot of things also occurred. Naga isn’t accustomed to any of these at all because of how new they all are for her. Desmond basically took her in as his own child. That’s why her life has taken a complete three-sixty-degree turn. None of the bad experiences she had to endure before now plague her. She’s given proper shelter, proper clothes, proper meals, everything that’s been deprived of her has been returned. Though, if there’s one thing that remained, it’s that she’s still practicing in the art of combat – something which Desmond personally sees to himself.Inside a seemingly empty forest, five enemies surround Naga. One of them is a sniper, two are close ranged fighters wielding combat knives and are also well versed with hand-to-hand combat. Then there are two more who fight on mid range.None of these proved to be much of a problem for Naga who’s able to take care of all of them while only sustaining a l
A wave of nostalgia went past Naga’s head as the internal energy emitted by the weapon of her foe went past her. A warmth that also brought a surging cold that rapidly spread across the entirety of her body as, the color of her pupils changed. One being crimson red while the other turned ocean blue. These eyes stared at the weapon that she stopped with the tip of her finger. The dagger of her opponent that’s given her such a hard time since earlier. This weapon has cut her body over and over to the point that she’s left bleeding to death. But now, as she looks at it, this feels like nothing more than a child’s toy. An object that can never hurt her no matter what. That is what she feels as she took a look at the face of her enemy. The expression written on Polinef’s face says it all. That he’s caught by surprise with everything that’s happening. It’s no wonder that the man can’t stop making this expression because, what Naga just did is considered as something impossible. Stopping a b
Naga can see everything. Her opponent, Polinef, is the fastest that she’s encountered her entire life. This person cannot compare to anyone and, everyone simply pales in comparison to this man’s speed. Even Naga in her normal state, cannot read the movements of this man. With all the focus she can muster, she still can’t see him. That’s why she needs to use something like this, another type of power that can overcome this lack and, a power that entirely goes beyond it as well.Every step that Polinef makes. Every breath that this man does. Every blink, every movement of the muscles. All of these are seen by Naga’s eyes without fail. She can see everything and, that’s why she’s able to see the stab that’s coming towards her again.“This is pointless.” Naga’s finger went into the direction of the attack, stopping iut even before it can reach her.A wave of dark internal energy went past her again. There is a cold that followed this which touched her skin but did no damage to her. Meanwh
While Naga went on with her fight against the vice leader of the Vipers, Daemon is the same. Though he’s not fighting any high-ranking member of the Vipers anymore, it can be said that the person he’s engaged in combat with is a lot more lethal compared to these. After all, his fight is against the strongest scholar of the Elites. The man whom he promised to beat after a month’s worth of training Leon Wolfhorn. The man towers over him. Even though their height is almost the same, the aura exuded by this person far exceeds that of anything that Daemon can muster. That is the clear difference between them and, that is also the reason why Daemon knows that he’s in for a world of pain and danger. The two of theme exchanged blows with their fists. Daemon had to let go of his guns because this won’t bring him any merit in that kind of fight. The one he’s engaged against is a person who can move faster than he can aim his guns and, during the time that he’s relying on these petty weapons, it
Daemon can feel his whole life flash before his eyes at that moment. There’s no way for him to counter Leon. He doesn’t even have enough strength left in his body to perform this task as all of the strength he can still muster seem to have been placed into the act of getting back up. That’s why something like this occurred to him. He can remember everything so vividly all of a sudden. He can remember all the bullying, all of the trauma, but even before any of these, he can remember all of the great memories he had with his parents. The life he used to live before his nightmare began. The life that’s filled with only good things. He can remember it all and how it’s forced to vanish under hellfire. Caused by those that’s been plotting against his enemy from the start. All of these went past his head as Leon approached him for the final strike. His opponent is in no way slow. In fact, Leon’s using the same amount of speed that caught Daemon by surprise at the beginning of their fight.
Daemon’s memory is hazy. He can remember fighting Leon, he can also remember the overwhelming gap in their strength and how he’s completely overestimated himself by claiming that he can win against such a strong person within only the span of a single month. He can remember all of this as vividly as he can remember the beating down and the final moments of his life.Filled with the humiliation of his own looming defeat, Daemon tried his best to get back up and fight. He’s able to do the former though there’s not much he can do about the latter. His body’s already given up in that fight. His regeneration won’t even happen on time. That’s how bad this situation is for him.He saw his final moments. The lion in the form of a human that prowled towards him. The attack of the overwhelming fist aimed at his chest. The single second where he also blacked out and, the same moment where everything weird began to happen. It’s like he’s there but he isn’t at the same time. He doesn’t understand
“You are the strongest.”This is a phrase that Leon’s heard all of his life. Even before his involvement with the organization of the Elites, he’s always been seen as the strongest. As a kid who grew up in the slums, he’s always beat up everyone. Even those that are twice his size and age. This continued even as he entered the Elites. Reaching a point where he doesn’t even need validation from others. He knows for himself that he is the strongest. That’s why there’s no reaction on his part, even as it is Desmond himself that’s saying these words.“That’s kinda obvious don’t you think?” Is all that Leon can say in response.“Goodness.” Desmond sighed. This whole conversation of theirs happened as soon as Leon defeated the top scholar of the martial arts division. A person who’s been placed into a state of comma since he didn’t want to admit defeat to Leon. Leaving the young fighter no other choice but to force his opponent into that vegetative state.“You know, you should at least act
