Entering the Academy is impossible for Daemon with just himself. The only way he was ever able to study there in the first place is because his parents already made a deposit for him. Securing his future in case anything happens to them.

Now that’s gone. Daemon doesn’t have the funding of his parents because, he can’t just walk inside the academy again and proclaim that he came back from the dead. Even if this works, it’ll bring in a lot of problems for him. For starters, he may get abducted and experimented on by those that wants to live forever. Though this is an idea that seems to be on the extreme side, there are a lot of other reasons subtler compared to this.

That’s why Daemon has to get back to the Academy on his own. A feat that is, as mentioned, impossible for Daemon with just himself… thankfully he doesn’t need to rely solely on himself.
