The emperor's face darkened even more as the atmosphere in the room became dark and gloomy that happened until the emperor bursted out laughing..

"You have the same blunt attitude as your father, you really are quite a rare catch" he said before calming himself from laughing, he coughed a little to regain his composure before looking at me again.

"Then what do you plan to do with your life?" Become an assassin almost flew out of my mouth if it wasn't for my reflexes, I rearranged my thoughts before responding

"I want to live a peaceful life, a stable job and maybe even build a family" I said, it was good choice now that my father and mother are gone to shackle me down..

" Why would you want that instead of being a princess? Other young ladies will do anything to get the offer I just gave you" he pointed out, that may be true but..

"It's because I don't want to be a doll anymore....to be a tool or a stepping stone for someone else, until now I still felt that my mother's strings are still attached to my limbs, I moved the way she wanted me too in the past 10 years of my life, I felt like a doll--a toy with chains in my feet by everyone, I know your majesty knows this feeling very much....the feeling of hiding your true selves in order to win favors or to survive, I don't want to be like that anymore, I wanted...freedom...freedom to be myself....freedom to choose who I wanted to be...freedom to move, free from my mother's control.....I don't want to be like that anymore" I expressed myself freely infront of this man who I just met, the man who led his own sons to be at each others throat, I fell weak and fragile with him.

I can give it to you, a house to stay in the capital, a stable job and so much more but here's the thing, I don't offer things that won't benefit me" I knew there were going to be catch, his offer were too perfect to be true, I only sighed in defeat before asking 'what is it?',

"Glad you asked, Since you are from the Charlotte knight house it's only natural that you are expected to be a knight, So I want you to be my sons personal escort knight" he said, my body froze in shock that I didn't even get to respond after that, Be an escort knights to the capture targets? Are you serious?.

"Be an escort knight?" An escort knight is like a personal shadow guard and body guard to someone, Usually only someone in the imperial family have an escort knight, I didn't had any problem with it too but being an escort knight to 6 crazy princes? No way.

I asked, he ponder over it for a moment befor snapping his fingers like he had a great bright idea "let's just divide it by a day, the first day of the week you'll be under the first son then the second days come where it's my second sons turn...the pattern continued on for six separate days for six separate princes the remaining seventh day is all for yourself" wow that is a good idea...but.....If I do this it's like digging my own graves, but If I don't do this I'm afraid I'll ended up as an assassin which I thought about now is probably a bad idea, another sigh of defat escape my from my lips..

"Fine, I will obey his majesty's words" I said, he clapped his hand and stood up proudly "you made the right choice girl, You'll be trained by my personal escort knight about the duty and obligation of being an escort knight next week, your job will start next months after we made sure all your injuries are healed up"
