My eyes widened, blood boiling at her newfound mockery. Since when has she known about my personal life? Not only did her words infuriate me, but it also made the buried guilt in my chest to rise from its grave in the most unexpected way.
It would be easy to use my father’s death to insinuate me to depression, but in the three years that Ezra had been bullying me, today was the only time she brought it up. Was she saving it for this moment? Or did she dug through everything in my life to get that information?
