Clayton came. He had bought a gift for Ahren, but when he came home, he had not seen his wife and was instead greeted by Elle, who was so excited about what Clayton had brought.

"Don't tell me you're still a useless son-in-law. Did you get a job? Tell me what job you got."

Elle immediately prevented him with many questions because Otto, at that time, picked him up by saying he would cooperate, Clayton, of course, couldn't avoid this conversation.

"Mom, I got my job. I'll be managing a small company."

Clayton had prepared an answer that Elle might want. The woman's eyes widened as she ruffled her waist before Clayton. For other people being a leader in a company was a strong thing, but for Elle Astor, it was not satisfying because it was only a small company. Even other family members ran big companies, and many men she wanted to match Ahren with had more than one business. She waved a hand in front of Clayton with a condescending look.

"Damn, I had believed that you would be quit
