They had dinner in a quiet and luxurious place. Having dinner just the two of them at least made them seem to become closer again.

"Now you've changed a lot, Back then, you didn't dare to fight against those who oppressed you, Clayton." Ahren put on her safety belt while looking at Clayton.

"There are a lot of changes that happened in a short time that made me respond to what others did to me."

Ahren was a little speechless at that. Then he slightly lowered his shoulders, which had felt tense earlier.

"It's not that I don't like your changes, I do."

Ahren spoke now with more expression, and there also seemed to be feeling in her words. That made Clayton happy. At least the husband and wife relationship between them seemed to be getting better.
