Adam spun around, trying to pinpoint the source of the voice. He scanned the hallway but could see no one.

"Who are you?" he called out.

There was no answer, only silence. Adam stood there for a moment, unsure of what to do next. Suddenly, a heavy pressure overwhelmed him, pushing him to his knees. It was as if the weight of the world had been placed on his shoulders, and he struggled to even breathe.
