“Aster Maron isn't dead. Adair is holding her hostage.” Tucker told Martha afterward.

“He is? That's so unlike him.” Kelvin commented from where he sat.

“His wife begged him not to kill Aster. So, he's just holding Aster hostage.” Tucker chuckled.

He walked to the counter and poured himself a drink.

“And how do you know all these?” Martha asked, her eyes following his every movement.

Tucker smiled as he emptied the first shot of bourbon. “You really don't think you're the only ones I have keeping an eye on Adair, do you?”

“I know.” Martha exhaled and leaned back comfortably. Tucker sounded way too confident, so she knew he had a card up his sleeve.

It wasn't just a card, but one he knew would make him emerge victorious if he really used it.
