Collette stopped walking as soon as she walked out of the elevator. Coincidentally, the chairman's assistant was right outside.

He recognized Collette as soon as he saw her and sighed within him wondering if his boss picked interest in her because of how beautiful she was. Nevertheless, he braced himself and walked towards her with a calm smile.

"You must be Mrs. Huxley?" He asked and she nodded.

"Just a few minutes ago, I was told the chairman refused to see the representatives sent by the Pitt's family and requested for me instead." Collette went straight to the point.

"Yes, Mrs. Huxley. Please, this way." Dan nodded, pointing towards the only office in the entire floor.

Although apprehensive, Collette nodded and followed behind him. He knocked once before pulling the door open, then ushered her in.

As soon as she was in, he stepped back and closed the door.

From where she stood, Collette could see a figure on his office chair.

"Mrs. Huxley?" The person called, getting onto h

Adair nodded and took the blood bag. "Thank you." It took him only five seconds to drain the entire bag. Then he looked down at his soldiers. "Get up."Their movement was in sync as they got up at the same time, creating a beautiful artwork. "Have you been doing this for the past three years?" Adair asked Jordan as he strolled closer to the border. "Yes, sir." Jordan answered only to receive a warning side glance from Adair. Then he quickly

It took Adair precisely eleven minutes to get to where Tucker held Halsey and Benjamin hostage. He walked in on Tucker spraying something on an unconscious Benjamin. But despite being unconscious, Benjamin would wince in pain whenever it touched him. “Don't you feel ashamed picking on someone lesser than you?” Adair mocked, making his presence known. His words didn't deter Tucker, who kept throwing the water at Benjamin. “Who said he's lesser than I? Someone who Adair Huxley calls father-in-law isn't lesser than me.” “That's that, but I still don't see how a man in his early forties is a threat to you who's more than a thousand years old.” Adair shrugged and found himself a chair to sit on. Tucker dropped the spray he held on the table and glanced above his shoulders to see Adair's cold eyes. “Those cold eyes. He had better things to do, such as torturing someone with the name Benjamin Pitt, so he didn't want to waste time with Jordan. He walked up to her and shrugged, “It's no longer safe to leave you at home. Especially with Tucker and Hannah around.” “Hannah mentioned something called vervain. She explained to me, it was something capable of keeping vampires from messing with our head. Why don't you get it for me?”
