A Cheating Wife.

"Sir? We can't proceed with your mother's chemotherapy unless you make payments. Please do so as soon as you can, thank you," said the female doctor who then stepped out of the ward after conveying her message to the anxious young man.

Ryu said nothing in response to the doctor's words, he let out a slow breath. Although he appeared all worn-out with visible eye bags and pale skin, his blonde hair was a dry mess but he cared less about his appearance as of the moment, his sick mother was the only person that mattered to him.

She was all he had after all.

"I will make sure you get all the treatments you need," Ryu murmured to his unconscious mother, determination dancing in his bright blue eyes while standing beside the bed where she was lying.

Quickly, he fished his mobile phone out of his pocket, thankfully he had a huge sum of money in his savings account, and he would use it for her treatment.

However, Ryu's phone buzzed loudly in the quiet room just after unlocking it to see a message from his wife appear on the bright screen of his phone.

He read through the message and sucked in some air, he clenched the phone tightly as he tried to hold back his anger.

His wife, Belle was currently demanding some money from him, as she always did. Belle was always demanding huge sums of money for the most ridiculous things even when she was fully aware that Ryu's job didn't pay him so much money. He works as a wood carrier at his father-in-law's woodcutting business and earns little money monthly.

Belle would always mock and shame him whenever he couldn't meet her financial needs, but he knew well enough to ignore her because there wasn't much he could do anyway.

Like always, he ignored her message and quickly logged into his bank app to check his savings account.

However, much to Ryu's greatest shock, his account balance showed ten thousand which was crazy to him because he could clearly recall that he had three hundred thousand in it, that money was his life savings.

How did it go from that much money to only just ten thousand left? This baffled Ryu, with a deep frown carved heavily on his eyebrows and with his heart beating hard against his chest, he quickly checked his email just in case something had gone wrong but there was nothing wrong, everything appeared normal.

Ryu's eyes widened in shock as he stared at his phone, his mind racing with disbelief. He felt confused and frustrated.

Feeling dizzy, His heart sank, and his stomach twisted into knots as he struggled to process the sudden and mysterious loss of his savings.

"Could it be..." Ryu drawled in murmurs as suspicion danced in his eyes filled with all kinds of negative emotions and without wasting further time, he dashed out through the door and out of the hospital, he ran to the nearest bank because he had questions and he needed answers from them.

It was either someone had withdrawn money from his savings account without his consent or something was wrong with the bank but Ryu knew it couldn't be the latter.

"Sir, Ms. Belle Anderson had withdrawn the total sum of two hundred thousand on the 2nd of March and another ninety thousand on the seventh of March. Here is the receipt sir," The bank lady explained as she held out a piece of paper with a professional smile plastered on her face.

Feeling too shocked to say or do anything, Ryu took the receipt from the lady and stepped out of the bank.

He was short of words and didn't know how to take in this information. His wife had taken out all the money he had been saving all his life and without his permission too.

The realization soon brought him rage, clenching hard against the paper, Ryu quickly made his way home. He was going to confront Belle.

Ryu soon reached the house he lived in with his in-laws and wife, it was a bungalow suitable for a middle-class family like them.

"Belle!" Ryu yelled immediately he stepped into the living, frantically looking around, seeing only his mother-in-law seated on a couch, he ignored her presence and dashed into Belle's bedroom to find it empty.

"Where is she?" Ryu demanded, staring deeply at Mrs Anderson who gave him a scornful look.

"How dare you say my daughter's name in such manners? You shameful man," She spat with her hands on her hips, her brown hair was placed up in a tight bun while she glared hard at Ryu through her reading glasses.

"I said where is she?" Ryu thundered as he stood towering before Mrs Anderson who stared back up at him, the air between them seeming tight.

"Do you see her anywhere here?" She asked while gazing around before staring back at Ryu. "You piece of shit, you really have no shame. You have the nerve to barge into my house after running off so early in the morning without getting any house chores done," she finished with her index finger pointing directly at Ryu.

Choosing to ignore her, Ryu walks past her. He walked frantically around the house, almost running, in search of Belle but after a few minutes of looking around the house and not finding her, Ryu then stepped out to the backyard where the garden was.

Sure enough, Belle was seated on a bench in the garden. However, from Ryu's view, he could see she wasn't alone. She was seated beside someone and they appear to be seated way too close to each other while immersed in their conversation.

Gritting her teeth hard, Ryu frowned and took a few steps closer only to witness something he would never have imagined.

His wife, Belle, and the unknown man seated beside her soon faced each other and they slowly leaned closer and shared a slow passionate kiss and all this happened right before Ryu's eyes.

He was so shocked at the sight of his wife cheating on him and not with just any man but with his close friend.

As if taking all the money he had in his bank account wasn't enough, she still went ahead to cheated on him with his friend. This was too much for Ryu to take in.
