Chapter 7: The Tighter Rivalry

During the break time, most of the candidates enjoyed the various meal provided. Some of them were also eating the sweet treats, like cakes, ice cream, and puddings. Storm and Aryan were the ones who really like those kinds of food. However, when they got bored, they took the savory menu that was on the different table provided.

At the same moment, Blaze joined and put his eyes to every candidates. He thought that all of the candidates were special. He also hoped that the entire candidates could pass and join him for the mission.

Then, he stopped by when he realized that Storm and Aryan was still thinking about which savory menu they should try. In order to get well on them, he said, "You shoukd try the stuffed bell peppers. It can recover your energy fastly."

"Really? I have just known it. Usually, I just drink some water and have a few amount of snacks," responded Aryan with doubtful expression.

"Because, I own the power like you two. I usually recover with special booster given by my dad." Blaze said with friendly smile and gaze.

In a sudden, Storm's eyes opened widely. He was not sure if a son of the king owned a superpower. All he had ever imagined about the royal sons were about prosperities, matchmaking, the war, and the heir of the throne. While Aryan himself was curious about the power mentioned by Blaze.

"Even my brothers owned the superpowers too." Blaze assured Storm as if he had understood the surprising facial expression of Storm.

Aryan then responded, "So, the royal sons are hidden superheroes?"

"Well, I do not declare that we are the superheroes since we have not done something big." Blaze said humbly. He actually wanted to say so, however it might affect his brothers' image in the public because there were some papparazies around, being all ears about what he had said and done a few hours ago.

"Factually, all of you deserve the title. You can just simply start to save nemozens in danger." Storm uttered and suggested the possible decision to his interlocutor.

Blaze then shook his right hand as a sign that he was not allowed to get out from the castle. "For that thing, I am still not allowed. My dad ever said that there was someone who hunted my brothers and me for disreputable occasion," added Blaze.

"Ah, I thought that living as the royals is the most dreamy thing at first. However, it does not sound fun if there are many dangers around." Aryan sighed.

When the sun was not really in the middle, the third stage was begun. As usual, the MC explained the rules to the candidates. "All right, there are three goals for this stage. The first one is you should find the real monster master among the little ones. The second is you need to make the cure potion for people who are infected by the alien virus. The last but not least, if you cannot get the three goals, you must step down from the competition." The MC explained what the candidates should achieve to pass the competition.

Having understood the rules, all of the candidates started to have their own thoughts. However, they did not share it. They would like to see what would be going on when they faced this stage.

"Is it clear enough? Or should I repeat the rules?" The MC wondered once when he realized that there was no respond from the candidates.

"CLEARR!!" The candidates answered compactly.

"All right, let's start the stage!" The MC said and gave a hand sign to the judge who was responsible for the system change.

"BLLLIPP.." The sky and entire the surrounding were changed into different city on the earth. The city was smaller than the previous one with less skycrapers. Besides that, the city looked more natural. The statement was supported by the existence of mountains, hills, and forest. In the beginning of the stage, the situation seemed calm and fine, especially when the birds flying in the sky and chirpped.

"BREEEZZZZ.." In about few minutes, some space crafts appeared along with the flying monsters that looked like dragons in the sky.

"Hahahahahaha." The scary laughter of a few monsters could also be heard clearly.

Silas who sat next to Ryk commented, "The laughter sounds terrible. I would like to punch the monster if I am allowed."

"Punch then leave? it seems like you can handle this stage with a large bravery." Ryk threw a cold glance at him.

"Sure, I am confident enough to declare that I am the bravest member in our team." Silas said as he grinned. He acted as if the stage was a piece of cake.

Then, beyond the candidates' prediction, the space crafts' amount increased. They came in various size and shape, from small to big.

"Come on, Bright Team. Let's unite!" Drake commanded his members to assemble.

As they heard the command, they obeyed and formed a line. They were ready with their own powers. The same thing was also done by Brave Team. Afterwards, some of monsters started to attack the city, while the rest of them spread out the alien virus to the people around. Looking at the situation, most of people tried to escape as they shouted histerically.

At that point in time, Silas of Brave Team protected the people by forming the giant invisible shield. It might not last for a long time, but it would decrease the number of human beings from being infected by alien virus.

"HAAARRRHH.." The infected citizens screamed disgustingly with sticky saliva around their wide mouths.

"Oh no, what a terrible disease," said Aryan while he was holding a tube for creating a cure potion.

Drake then responded, "We had better to think faster when composing the medicine. The time is pretty short."

Storm who was holding the two bottles on his hands gave one of them and uttered, "That is why we need the correct formula for curing the citizens. This is the nitrogen that you have asked a few minutes ago."

In contrast to Bright Team, the members of Brave Team still fought with the monsters. Even some of them had killed the infected citizens. "Well, I hope that our point will not be lower than the opponent. We have killed some infected people whom we should save using the cure potion," stated Ryk panicly.

"Instead of hoping the things which you worried about, why don't we try to recover the infected citizens?" Jax, the alchemist suggested.

Silas who heard the suggestion stopped attacking the monsters and ran to the mini laboratorium, "Okay, let's try. We must decrease the number of citizens' killed."
