The Chosen Six

Talents

"Alright is time to check your talents, as there are no other questions left to answer" Archmage Chandelier said while looking at the six teenagers, his smile never leaving his face after his initial frown.

"What do you mean talents?" Lily who has come to terms with reality after crying for a while, asked while tilting her head, her beautiful eyes which still had a remnant of tears, sparkled in the hall.

"Hahaha seems you are coming back to life young lady, what I mean by talents is, I mean your magic attributes, your elements if you can use the water element, fire element, air element, e.t.c" Archmage Chandelier said while looking at all of them, considering what they had just gone through they actually needed rest, but the measurements of their elements couldn't wait.

"Should I take it over from here? Archmage" the beautiful Rosetta stood up and said, urging Archmage Chandelier to take a rest, he has been addressing them for long now, and all the high mages have just sitting down watching the show.

"Oh if you can, please do" Archmage Chandelier replied Rosetta with a smile before going back to his seat, the only thing remaining was for them to test their talents, if they had a godsent talent, how many elements they could use, meanwhile the hard parts have already been done by him, so he left to his seat with a smile.

A cool sweet voice echoed through the air when Rosetta started addressing them, her voice was so soothing than the sage old voice they have been hearing.

"For us to know your attributes and to test your talents, All of you would be going one by one to test your talents with the orb that is placed there, you would be placing both your hands on the orb, which would show how many attributes or elements you have and the kind of spells you can use" Rosetta spoke to them in a business like manner, her blue hair that flowed as she walk, which complimented the white long dress she was wearing, after removing her mage robe.

"Umm all we have to do is place our hands on the orb right?" Derrick asked while fidgeting a bit.

"Be bold young man, am not gonna eat you, and yes you only have to place your hands on the orb over there" Rosetta spoke while glancing at Derrick.

"So who is gonna go first?" she asked the teenagers that were all there, but seeing their reaction and as nobody wants to go she made a decision.

"Alright as nobody wants to go first, I will decide, you would be going in this order Derrick, Carter, Lily, Freya, Ivy and Nicholas" Rosetta spoke without battling an eye looking straight at them, the fidgeting Derrick felt like the world was against him.

He decided to be bold, he was reprimanded just now by the mage Rosetta and he doesn't want it to repeat itself.

After going to where the orb was located at the upper end of the hall, Derrick raised his hand before dropping it again, before eventually picking up courage to raise both hands and placing them on the orb, immediately after placing them on the orbs, the orbs started changing colours it began with red (fire), blue (water), green (air), brown (earth) and then it finally stopped at ash (sound).

"Woah, woah," there were cheers and clapping all around by the mages, "wow they are really the chosen one, they can use all the attribute and a special attribute too, interesting" Gragtos spoke looking intrigued.

"Indeed the prophesy is not ungrounded, they are really chosen, even the worst of them could produce such outstanding talents" Selina said with a smiling face.

"ahahaha the gods are really something he loves crying and was given a sound technique interesting, there haven't been a sound technique user for decades" Archmage Chandelier spoke looking satisfied.

With all the praises that were being showered on him, Derrick self esteem returned, he felt like he can finally raise his head now, after all the defeats he had faced.

"You can come down now, the next person should go up then" Rosetta said bringing Derrick back to reality.
