Lukas took the cab to the Linrad guild building. The reason was fairly obvious; as it was not within walking distance of the Hunter's Alliance building. After a two hour drive, he finally got to his destination. The Linrad Guild building wasn't luxurious or imposing, which said a lot about their ranking, but it was still decent. Like the Hunter Alliance building, there was a flag displaying their logo, which was a 'LR' in white and black colors. Apparently, their guild leader still cared about appearances. It didn't matter much to him, as he was not one to judge a book by its cover, especially after being on the receiving end of such treatment. Lukas walked straight to the building and entered it. The guild hall, which was the first place he saw after entering the building, was just as plain as the building itself. It wasn't large or exquisitely decorated, and there were few people in the guild hall chatting away. All of them wore their outfits, but there was an insignia of the gui
-Linrad Guild Building-Lukas stood outside the Linrad Guild hall. Three days had passed in the blink of an eye, and it was now the day he would go dungeon diving with his new teammates.According to what Eipi told him, the Linrad Guild had different teams, and each team had their own quests and dungeons to clear. The team he was assigned to cleared F-ranked and E-ranked dungeons, while the other teams were able to clear D-ranked dungeons. The Guild was unable to get their hands on C-ranked dungeons as they were still in the silver rank, but that didn't stop the ace team that Raven lead from clearing C-ranked dungeons. They teamed up with Gold ranked guilds and cleared the dungeons. The only downside was that the profits made from each run were split equally between the two guilds.Eipi also mentioned that there was serious competition between the lower ranked teams, as the profits gotten from higher ranked dungeons were more lucrative then lower ranked dungeons.Lukas was still think
Lukas and the other members of team 6 had finally returned. They exited the room, with Sivanthe in the lead. They left the Linrad Guild hall and made their way towards a van. There was a driver already waiting for them in the van, so they just filed into the van. Of course, Eipi sat beside Lukas. The van drove out of the Guild premises, gaining speed as it did so. After a while, Lukas noticed that the van was speeding past desolate areas, with their lands looking barren and destroyed.Although Eipi couldn't see Lukas expression because of the mask he wore, he was sure that Lukas was curious about the desolate and barren lands."I bet you never knew that such areas existed." Eipi started.Lukas turned over to him and nodded his head. Although Eipi could be annoying at times, he couldn't deny the amount of knowledge he had concerning things like this."Well I don't know all the details, but I'll tell you what I know." Eipi said, before clearing his throat."Long ago; and I mean very lon
The first thing Lukas saw when he opened his eyes was the red sky. The sky was a different color from the one in Aegis Empire. The ground was dry and hot, and littered with small pebbles. It was also red like the sky, and there was little to no vegetation around. Lukas brought his gaze forward and saw Sivanthe standing with the other members. They gazed around frequently, their eyes constantly scanning their surroundings, showing how alert they were. After confirming there was no immediate danger coming their way, Sivanthe was the first to speak up, breaking the silence."I know we've gone through this before, but I'll say it again.""We're currently in the F-ranked dungeon 'Ariel's Castle', and we are unable to exit until we take down the boss in this dungeon.""We don't know where the boss is now, which means we have to find it ourselves. Therefore, we have to be very careful with our actions."Sivanthe paused, scanning the gazes of his teammates. Satisfied with what he saw, he nod
It had been three hours since their encounter with the blue carits, and since then they had encountered a considerable amount of monsters on their journey. They had fallen into a routine, using the strategies and formations Sivanthe mapped out for them to fight the monsters they had come across. Sometimes it was the physically gifted classes that fought, and sometimes it was the magically gifted classes that fought. Any injuries obtained from such fights were quickly treated by the healers. It was a convenient but effective method.Lukas and Eipi had yet to be involved in any fights, as their teammates quickly took care of any monster they came across with seamless teamwork and effective joint attacks. Unlike Eipi and Lukas who were new to the team, the team members had been fighting together for a long time, so their teamwork was naturally fluid.Lukas and the team were currently resting again. The team had just finished taking care of a group of green furies, a servant type class of
CLANG!Lukas moved back from his present spot due to the force behind the hit. However he was not allowed a moment of reprieve, as another attack came right at him. Lukas expected this, so he naturally positioned the silver shield in front of him in order to block the attack.CLANG!Lukas found himself on the passive side of the fight not long after the fight commenced. However, this was naturally because he had no attacking spells in his arsenal. The two spells he had was purely defensive.Another attack came at him, right after he blocked the second one. He tried to block it, but the consecutive attacks made him react a second later, and that was enough for the monster to impale one of its sharp branches in his right side.Lukas looked down at the torn coat and his right side which was now bleeding and groaned. It turned out that he didn't make the right choice by purchasing the non enchanted combat outfits. Otherwise, he would have been protected from the attacks of this monster. I
“Mercury Magic; Mercury Shield!”A beautiful silver shield emerged from a silver magic circle and blocked the incoming attack of the tree monster.CLANG!Lukas moved back again from the force of the attack, but this time, he was not just on the defensive. “Mercury Magic; Mercury Spear!”Another gigantic silver magic circle formed at his back, and three stunning silver spears emerged from the circle. They flew at a fast speed and impaled themselves again on the trunk of the tree monster, bypassing its flimsy defense.CRACK!Lukas smirked. He wasn’t done yet. The constant training he did on his mana control had begun to pay off. Now he was able to change the state of his element at will.He changed the state of his spears embedded in the trunk of the monster from solid to liquid, making them penetrate the wounds they inflicted on it. As for why he did that, the reason was obvious. His element was poisonous.Instead of allowing it to heal, the poison from his element would attack the mo
Lukas looked at his team leader in confusion. He could not understand the sudden urgency in his voice. Was the orb something very special? Or was it very dangerous?Lukas thought that must be the case. Otherwise there was no reason why he should behave like that.“I asked you where you got that orb!” Sivanthe shouted; while shaking Lukas’ shoulders with an almost crazed expression on his face.“Calm down!” Lukas responded agitatedly; already annoyed by his attitude.Sivanthe came back to his senses and took a look around. He saw that his team members were looking at him as if he was insane, but there was also curiosity in their expressions. It was rare to see Sivanthe lose his cool, so they were all wondering what the orb was that could have warranted such reaction from him.Sivanthe cleared his throat and turned his gaze back to Lukas.“I’m sorry for raising my voice at you, but could you please tell me where you got this orb?”Sivanthe asked in a calm tone, but Lukas could hear the
