Lukas entered the room for the second time and saw the three judges still seated. The judges signaled him to go to the same table and put his hand on the orb. Lukas did as he was told and soon enough the orb started emitting a pale blue light.
"That's enough boy." One of the judges said. Lukas removed his hands from the orb and looked at the judges.
The three judges looked at each other, discussed for over 2 minutes before nodding their heads. They had come to a conclusion. One of the judges cleared his throat before announcing.
"Lukas Kerr, you have successfully awakened as a Mage. You may leave now."
Lukas nodded his head before exiting the room. His expression was stoic as he walked towards the exit but internally his heart was beating furiously! He was ecstatic.
He had successfully awakened! It was taking everything he had not to burst out in joy. He held it in and walked towards the elevator.
He wondered what had become of his friends in the military. Out of everyone who came to awaken from the military only 6 were successful.
Not everyone in his class from the military came to Zik city to awaken. Some chose to stay behind and awaken in the military headquarters.
The military had an awakening center as they were one of the backbone of the Empire. The center was exclusively reserved for the military, which was why Lukas who was leaving the military opted to awaken at Zik city.
Lukas kept thinking about these things as he walked to the counter where he would be issued his new identity card.

Noelle was walking towards the exit of the building. She was excited. She had awakened as a berserker. It was the class she had always admired.
She was humming as she walked when she saw a familiar outline. She paused and looked carefully at the outline. When the outline fully came into view a curious expression came on her face.
"So it's him. Lukas Kerr. The genius of the military academy"
Noelle studied Lukas carefully. He was tall. Tall for his age. Probably around 5'7. He was also breathtakingly handsome, with deep ocean blue eyes and silver hair; the same shade as hers. His earrings dangled as he walked. The military uniform he wore fit him perfectly.
Noelle found herself staring at him in a dazed expression before shaking her head furiously.
"What is wrong with me?! Get a grip Noelle!" She huffed before looking at him again. She wondered what class he awakened as. She kept on watching him until he disappeared from her sight.
Noelle smiled before finally turning her gaze away from him and walked towards the exit.
Lukas Kerr. What an interesting find.

Lukas walked to the counter where he was supposed to get his card. The receptionist at the counter was a friendly woman in her mid twenties. Lukas politely answered her greetings before asking her about his card.
"You're here to get your identity card?" she asked.
"Yes"
She looked at the screen in front of her, typed some words on her keyboard before turning her attention to him.
"Name?"
"Lukas Kerr"
"Date of birth?"
"27th June."
"Age?"
"14."
"Name of parents?"
There was no response. She stopped typing and looked at Lukas expectantly. Lukas shook his head before she understood. A pitiful expression came on her face as the way she looked at him changed.
"Sorry for your loss kid. Hope you stay strong."
Lukas nodded his head at her response. She then turned her gaze towards the screen again and resumed asking questions, but in a gentler tone.
"Awakening result?"
"S-rank."
She paused again and looked at Lukas, an expression of shock coming on her face. She gaped at him for over 10 seconds before collecting herself and typed on her keyboard.
"Class awakened?"
"Mage."
She then stood up, went to the corner of the room and brought out a golden card. On it were information about Lukas. She asked Lukas to cut his finger and apply a drop of blood on the card.
"Make sure not to lose it. It serves as an identification card through out the planet. It is a form of identity outside the empire. It is blood bound so you don't need to come here to update the information, it updates on it's own. If you lose it and you want a new one it'll cost 5,000 gold notes."
Lukas gasped. What an astronomical sum! Lukas held his card carefully. 5,000 gold notes was a huge sum.
"That'll be all." the receptionist said, maintaining a friendly smile on her face. Lukas smiled back at her before making his way out of the building.
He boarded a bus back to the military academy as the bus he came with didn't wait for him. They were already telling him that he wasn't part of them anymore.
Lukas alighted the bus after paying the fare, a whooping 13 silvers. So expensive! To Lukas that was 1,300 copper notes! If not for the money he got from taking first place in the monthly exams for the past 2 years he wouldn't have been able to afford it.
Lukas made his way to his dorm room, took off his clothes and took his bath. He dried himself off before laying down on his bed.
He noticed that the academy was fairly empty on his way to the dorm. The unfortunate ones who hadn't awakened were already being kicked out.
Lukas looked at the clock on the wall. 5:38 PM. He knew his time at the military was coming to an end. Before the end of this week he would have to leave.
Lukas lay on his bed while thinking about his next course of action. The answer was fairly obvious to him.
Aegis Imperial High School.
The number 1 high school in the whole of Aegis empire. That was where he set his eyes on. It was the best choice for him.
It was where he would begin his journey to become a Mage God.
Lukas woke up to the sound of his alarm ringing. He turned over and turned off the alarm before looking at the time on the clock. 7:20 am. Lukas lay on his bed for a while before taking off his nightwear. He put on his bathrobe and entered the bathroom to take his bath.He awakened as a Mage 2 days ago. Today was the day he was leaving the academy. He had been planning for this day since he entered the academy. He studied intensely and took 1st place in every monthly exams held. He had accumulated a total of 3 gold from the exams as he spent his money sparingly. 3 gold was 30,000 coppers. It was a huge sum for him. He had already packed all his clothes the yesterday. There wasn't much to pack though, just a couple of shirts, jeans and his shoes.Lukas exited the shower and dried himself off. He wore a black shirt, black jeans and white sneakers before grabbing his backpack. He took one last room at the dorm. It had been his home for the past 4 years. He felt grateful to the militar
"Thank you for using our services. Here is my card, you can contact us-"Lukas slammed the door before the cab driver could finish advertising his services. Services my foot! Lukas swore never to use their services again. The reason was fairly simple. During the journey, he fell asleep and dozed off for about 2 hours. When he woke up he found out that he had barely moved from the spot he dozed off! As if that wasn't enough, the whole ride was very bumpy and uncomfortable. Lukas regretted not using the train. The train t-fare was 200 copper notes, so he didn't consider boarding one.Needless to say he now understood the ancient proverb 'Penny wise, pound foolish'. Exorbitant prices and bumpy rides, he wasn't using their services ever again!Lukas walked towards the entrance, following the signboards to navigate himself. Soon enough he found himself at the entrance. He didn't move forward again, his mouth gaping wide. The first thing that came to his mind was huge. There was a very hu
Noelle alighted from the cab, paid the cab driver before turning and heading towards the entrance. She could see a lot of people around her age along the way. Some were wishing their parents goodbyes, some were making phone calls, and some were looking around as if waiting for someone while some were heading towards the entrance like her.Noelle could feel a lot of attention on her as she walked, probably because of her looks. There were some boys who came to hit on her but soon left after seeing that she showed no interest in their advances. She walked unhurriedly, as the time for the test was still some hours away. She wondered if she would be able to pass the test.As she was lost in thought she felt someone tap her on the back. She thought it was another boy coming to try his luck again so she ignored it. She kept on walking before she felt another tap on her back. She still ignored it, thinking that if she did the person would lose interest and go away. When she felt the tap agai
Ayleen gaped at the screen in front of her. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.-Name: Ayleen de Etienne.-Test score: 85/100.-Local rank: 042.-Regional rank: 1,389.She made it into the top 50 in the local rankings and top 1500 in the regional rankings. She was feeling good with herself at having a good score when she saw the top 10 on the regional rankings.Lukas Kerr! He was the number 1 on the list! Just how insanely good was he? How could he get a perfect score on the theory test? If she didn't partake in the test she would be obliged to believe that the test was very easy. She suddenly felt like everything she did was a waste. She glanced at the list once more before clenching her fists tightly. She vowed to reach his level and overtake him.The door opened and a middle aged woman entered the room. She was dressed in a white shirt and black skirt with leggings. She was wearing glasses on her eyes and her hair was tied into a bun. She was Mrs. Chandler, the examiner for
The sound of the alarm woke Lukas up from his sleep. He turned over and checked the time on the clock. 7:30 am.Lukas groaned before getting up from the bed. He walked to bathroom and soaked for a while in the bathtub before sighing. The hot water had a therapeutic effect on him. After soaking in the bathtub, he took his bath before exiting the bathroom.Today was a good day for him so he decided to look better than ever. He styled his silver hair, put on a fancy pair of earrings he got for 2 coppers yesterday and he wore his clothes. He did all this while humming to the song blasting from the speakers. After checking himself in the mirror, he nodded in satisfaction at what he saw before heading out of the room.At the same time he opened the door, the door opposite his room opened too.Two pretty girls with blonde hair exited the room opposite his.The girls gasped at the sight of Lukas, as if they had seen a ghost. One of the girls had an ugly expression on her face as if she had ju
-Rakades City, Schedek Kingdom-The scorching sun shone down on the city of Rakades. It was a city close to the Ymir deserts so it was always very hot.The tanned citizens were going about their daily businesses. Merchants could be found at almost every corner of the city, showing how popular the city was. It was a small city with about 50,000 citizens. The people of Rakades were devout worshippers of Arzek. They called him the 'Sun God', as they believed he was responsible for their safety. There were different temples throughout the city, showing how deep their beliefs were.In the biggest temple located at the heart of the city, a curvaceous young woman dressed in a white garment was praying to the statue in a fountain. Her skin was very smooth, and her curves were heavily pronounced, a perfect example of the hourglass figure. Her face was covered in a veil, but it did nothing to offset her beauty, only making her seem like a mysterious beauty.Suddenly she stopped praying. She tur
-Rose City, Hundred Flowers Empire-The Hundred Flowers Empire was a very powerful empire. It was a veteran empire that was well above average in strength. They had cemented themselves as a power not to be trifled with during an incident that occurred 10 years ago, where 4 catastrophe class beasts joined hands together to attack the empire.Everyone had thought that the empire would suffer heavy losses and might be wiped out; but to their shock not only did the empire repel the attack, slaying 2 catastrophe class beasts, they did so while suffering minimum casualties.Since that incident, everyone acknowledged the Hundred Flowers Empire as a superpower. That wasn't the only peculiar thing about the empire. Like the name suggested, there were a hundred cities in the empire. They were all named after flowers, with the smaller cities almost half the size of a kingdom while the larger ones were as big as a kingdom. The combined size of all the cities made the empire encompass a very large
Everyone gasped at the mention of the name. The officers broke out in a cold sweat. Davis grimaced when he heard the name. He was right. They had underestimated the gravity of the issue. The Purple Pavilion was synonymous with devastation. Anywhere the Purple Pavilion appeared only destruction was left in their wake. They were a transcendental organization responsible for the destruction of various cities, kingdoms, and even empires. There was very little information about the transcendental organization, as every information known about them was extremely confidential."I believe everyone present is familiar with the name." General Yuklein stated, scanning the faces of everyone present."From the information given to us by the Magic Association, the Purple Pavilion is on the move. We don't know what their objective is yet but we have been told to be on standby. The next information I want to pass out now is extremely confidential, and once you've heard it there is no going back."Gen
