Chapter 10

Jessica laughed while shaking her head repeatedly. She looked up at Joshua's face and observed him closely. "There's someone hallucinating here. He said something very funny." Jessica tried hard to stop herself from laughing, but she couldn't. Remembering Joshua's words, she couldn't help but laugh aloud again.

 

"He talks like he has so much power. But he doesn't realize who he really is." Jessica shook her head again. She looked at Joshua and observed his appearance. "Even you still eat in this humble place. And, of course, this would never be done by someone who truly has power." Jessica said that to Joshua. But the man in front of her just looked at her coldly. In fact, he looked very calm.

 

Jessica straightened her body. She exposed her body to Joshua and puffed out her chest. Then she said, "I am an influencer and you should know who I am. Even I often know many men who have tremendous power, but not once do I know who you are." Jessica tilted her lips as she looked at Joshua's face, and she pouted. She thought that Joshua's actions were very funny.

 

Jessica's eyes moved swiftly to observe Joshua's appearance once again. She wanted to convince herself who Joshua really was that he could be so confident in acting like a ruler, but as she watched Joshua closely, she didn't see anything interesting about the man. He just sat and ate in such a simple place that Jessica took the young man in front of her for granted.

 

Meanwhile, Joshua just watched Jessica with a cold stare. He let her continue talking and laughing. But for the rest, Jessica's actions troubled the old couple's faces. But they chose to remain silent and trust Joshua's words.

 

Suddenly, Jeff touched Jessica's shoulder. He had a panicked look as Jessica looked up at him. "Look, something happened to your account. Look at this!" Jeff showed Jessica his cell phone. Even the man's hands were shaking.

 

Jeff couldn't believe it. Before this, he didn't seem to believe the account he was looking at, but when he convinced himself it was Jessica's account, he quickly showed her the phone.

 

Jessica widened her eyes. She was shocked by what she saw on Jeff's phone screen. She didn't believe it was her account, "are you sure this is mine?" Jessica spoke nervously. She swallowed saliva quite hard and felt like her throat was hurting.

 

"Yes, this is indeed your account. Look at it. It's all empty." Jeff spoke in a nervous voice. Meanwhile, Jessica couldn't say anything this time. She stared silently at her account, which had suddenly changed, and she no longer had any followers.

 

Her chest was beating fast. She glanced at Joshua for a moment, but he still had a cold stare in his eyes. "Is it because of that guy?" Jessica muttered in her heart. Her head suddenly became very sore about this.

 

"Oh my, your account just suddenly disappeared." Jeff spoke again nervously. He could no longer find Jessica's current account. Even after repeated attempts, Jeff failed to find the name. And the account had completely disappeared.

 

Jessica was getting more and more panicked. Her chest was beating faster and faster.  She couldn't say anything, but quickly, Jessica reached into her pocket and looked at her cell phone. She tried to log into her account but couldn't access the account she was so proud of.

 

"This is impossible," Jessica said softly. In fact, her tears were about to fall. Her hands trembled violently as Jessica repeatedly did, but she still failed to access her account.

 

Jessica was still holding her phone with one hand while her other hand held her head, which was throbbing with pain. She panicked and didn't want to lose her account that she was so proud of.

 

But there, Joshua grinned. "Didn't I tell you?" Joshua said that very casually. Then he took a drink and sipped it very calmly.

 

Meanwhile, Jessica and Jeff immediately set their eyes on Joshua. Even after doing such a big thing, the man didn't feel guilty, which made Jessica even angrier.

 

She was breathing fast. Her face flushed, and she showed a lot of anger. She approached Joshua and pointed at the man's face again. "What have you done? Hurry up and give me my account back. You shouldn't have lost my account. You are a very insolent man!" The woman's jaw seemed to harden. She didn't care about yelling in front of people. She was desperate to get her account back.

 

Joshua looked at Jessica's face very casually. He lowered one of Jessica's index fingers, pointing at him, then said, "Didn't you trust me before? Of course, I can't do that." Joshua grinned as if dismissive of Jessica's anger.

 

Jessica chuckled in annoyance. She stared at Joshua's face with a piercing gaze. Her chest was still rising and falling, following her breathing. Then she said, "I will be able to solve this problem. I can spread this with my other accounts." Jessica gave Joshua an affirmation. She wanted to look okay before Joshua, even though she was still very nervous. She was really afraid that the account wouldn't come back. "Look, I'm not going to leave you alone. I'm going to spread you on social media."

 

This time, Jessica grinned slightly. Then she said, "Do you think I can't do something for you? Just watch me reply to you. I have several other accounts and I'm sure mine will be back soon." Jessica was a little threatening, and she hoped that Joshua would be scared of her.

 

Again, Joshua grinned. "Go ahead." Joshua replied without turning to look at Jessica's face.

 

Jessica sat back in her seat. She tried to calm herself down and tried to get her account back. She was confident that she could do it despite failing earlier.

 

Five minutes later, Jeff widened his eyes. "Jessica, look at this. Even your scandal is all over the internet news. Everyone knows your true colors." Jeff gave Jessica the scoop.

 

The woman, who had not even been able to control herself, was again very surprised. She quickly grabbed Jeff's cell phone, and sure enough, her picture was plastered all over the news. And all those pictures described her original attitude, which was very arrogant. Even though many bad things are written about him, some news pages write that the famous influencer has a bad attitude, likes to ask for free food, and often demeans people.

 

Thousands of comments had filled the homepage. Her chest was pounding even harder. "This can't be happening." Jessica muttered. Her hand quickly swiped through the screen of Jeff's phone that was still in his hand.

 

[Oh my, so that woman's kindness was just a sham]

 

[Apparently, she's a beggar who likes to ask for free food. That's so embarrassing.]

 

[Apparently, she's an evil woman. We've been fooled all along]

 

Jessica read that a lot of people had insulted her. And this has become a news story all over the city.

 

"Oh God, what is this? I need to stop all this immediately. I don't want to get a bad name." Jessica looked nervous. She returned Jeff's cell phone and wanted to take her own cell phone to call her manager. She desperately wanted her manager to stop this to help her and restore her good name.

 

While Jessica was busy looking for her manager's cell phone number, a call came through first, and it was her manager. "This has all gone horribly wrong!" The voice was heard as Jessica just answered the call from her manager.
