Edward initially gave up on Bridget because he didn't think anyone could survive this. To his surprise, his worries had been for nothing. Bridget was still in good condition. He couldn't help watching Darius with a mixture of shock and admiration.

Edward never would've expected Bridget to still have a chance of being alive. It was close to impossible for most to stay alive under such circumstances, but Darius had done it! Not only had he made it through, but he'd also kept Bridget alive!

Edward didn't think he'd have the opportunity to witness something like this anymore. Darius himself probably wouldn't expect to experience such a situation anymore. At this thought, Edward sat by the door and watched Darius seriously.
