Ch 4 - At The Hospital

A woman wearing white dress could be seen walking in a white corridor which was filled with people wearing clothes just like her, with some people wearing blue and also of people wearing random dresses.

It was a hospital, the same hospital the boy was admitted in.

The doctor was going to his room to see him.

She remembered the police and also the emergency care assistant who had bought an unconscious boy to the hospital say that he was lying on the floor just a few feet away from a corpse which had organs spilling out of her.

When she heard this she was shocked 'how could a person just have organs spilling out of them while they were on the bed?' She knew the answer to her question but refused to believe it.

Because it was too hard to believe that a person would even think of doing that.

The police had arrived at the scene before the ambulance and they brought the boy out but left the corpse as they knew it would be best if it was left there and to wait until an investigating team came to check what had happened to her.

"Doctor Lisa." Someone called out to the doctor bringing her out of the thoughts. She turned towards the person and saw him heavily breathing.

"What is it larry?" Lisa asked with confusion and worry.

"We need you in the ER, theres been an explosion at the police station." He said while still catching his breath.

On hearing him Lisa quickly turned back started to walk hurriedly.

"Whats the Situation?" She asked

"Ten are confirmed dead, twenty six have 3rd degree burns & shards of glass, wood etc have punctured their skin and nineteen need immediate medical attention." She almost tripped when he said the policemen having third degree burns and shards of glass, wood stabbed into them werent classified into who needed immediate medical attention.

'How serious is this situation?' She thought.

She got her answer when she entered one of the ER and saw a man on the table lying with a two feet long piece of wood lodged into his chest.

The police man was barely alive.

Lisa quickly put the file of papers she had on a table nearby and took her coat off then wore a mask along with a white robe.

"Whats the situation?" She asked the nurse who was tending to the man on the table.

"I have disinfected the st..."

Three people could be seen inside a room which was lavishly decorated making it look like a king's bedroom.

"You stupid asshole!" A man who looked in his forties who also had a large build shouted.

"I am sorry father." A boy said while he had his head facing to the floor.

"What sorry! Do you know how much trouble you have caused!" The man with a large build shouted back.

"Honey calm down, he said sorry. It wasnt even his fault." A woman who looked like she was in her forties butted in.

"What do you mean it wasnt his fault! He clearly didnt read the contents of the book!"

"No father I did read it properly, It was written that the Earth is a korin planet." The boy spoke back trying to prove his innocence.

The man became even more serious but put his anger aside said politely "You know that a planet is classified into three characteristics intelligence of the species, their knowledge of the different energies and the current state of the planet. So now tell me why did you go into the territory of a grade 3 dark walker and also to a planet which was bareem and larin." He said the last part like he was going to burst like a bomb after it had just been diffused.

"I am sorry father, the part where it stated that the planet is bareem and larin was on the next page and I didnt turn to the next page." He said dejectedly.

"YOU IDIOT, THIS WILL CAUSE OUR SEAT FROM THE COUNCIL TO BE TAKEN!" The man shouted loud enough to make walls rumble.

"Honey, honey calm down, whats done is done. Think what should be your next move instead of thinking the past." Chimed in the woman who tried to make the man, calm down.

The man sat down on a chair while massaging his temples. He sat for about a minute or two without doing anything except than massaging his temples, he waved his index finger like doing a twirl and immediately afterwards the door to the room opened and a guard suddenly appeared in front of him.

"What is the matter your highness?" The guard asked while kneeling down with both his hands on his sword and his head facing the ground.

"Set up a gate to the planet Earth by tomorrow and inform ballard to come to me right now."

"But sir setting up a gate to that planet is very difficult even with weeks of time, much less by tomorrow." The guard said after he raised his head, by seeing his face it was evident that he was nervous.

"I know that. Hire the best gate developer available, the cost doesnt matter but they should be able do it by tomorrow."

"Okay your highness." The guard said and disappeared.

It hadnt even been a minute till the door opened again and a man wearing a golden white mask with blonde hair appeared in front of the so called highness.

"Ballard you are going to kill everybody that even has a slight knowledge of the incident and you are going to destroy every peice of information related to the incident."

"Yes, your highness but what is the situation."

The highness explained everything to ballard from his son becoming too excited and accepting a dare to the part where the investigators of the planet were inspecting the corpse and how serious the situation was.

Surprisingly the highness didnt know about the boy nor did he know that the planet's dark walker had already caught on what was happening so he didnt tell ballard about it.

After his explanation was over, ballard just said "Okay your highness." before disappearing.

The ER room in the hospital.

Lisa had managed to take out the wood without damaging any other organs.

His left lung was severely damaged and unfunctional but a person can live with only one lung.

The piece of wood stabbed right at the place where the heart should be but luckily the man had his heart on the other side, saving his life.

Lisa right after putting the wood on a tray was going to head the next ER as the nurse had already taken over.

She moved out of the ER and removed her mask along with the white robe which had a few drops of blood on it.

She threw them into a dustbin and turned around to go to the next ER but she stopped and turned back to look at the dustbin. "I swear i saw smoke coming from it."

She kneeled to get a closer look and she saw it again. This confirmed her suspicions, something in the dustbin was probably on fire and it would be a disaster if all that medical waste started burning. If it did then it would release toxic fumes which definitely wont be safe to breathe, or even worse a fire starts and the whole building would be covered by it while so many people are being treated.... it would definitely cause a havoc.

She took the fire extinguisher on the wall and faced the faucet towards the dustbin's direction then removed the cap.

Suddenly the direction of the faucet that was facing the bin changed to her face.

The contents started pouring out on her face, she tried to move, she tried to scream but couldnt do anything. It was as if someone was holding on to her and trying to kill her.

After a few seconds the faucet went from in front of her face to inside her mouth.

She didnt know what was going nor who was doing it.

Thud!

She fell on the floor along with the extinguisher with a thud, which the nurses in the ER heard and one of them came to check what it was.

A shout rang out in the hospital....
