I was curious about what the warden would say to Robert. Is something beneficial to Robert? Or is there something else?

Honestly, after Theodore incident, I have a trust issue with the officers here. I couldn't bear to see Robert being hurt again like yesterday. But, the kid is too weak, and if it happened to Monti, maybe I can still understand.

"What?" asked Monty. I accidentally saw him just thinking about it.

"Nothing."

"Aren't you curious what the warden would say to Robert?" asked Monty. His handsome and annoying face looks so curious.

"Announcement, to the thirty people who have registered to be volunteers to clean the attic, please gather in front of the library soon."

The announcement over the loudspeaker brought the conversation between Monti and me to a halt.

We both got up from our seats. But, of course, our action reaped question marks from other members. They didn't think that Monti and I had volunteered ourselves to be volunteers.
