"Leon, we hold you responsible for everything you've done," said the restaurant manager in his room.

The restaurant manager asked Leon to come into his room and handed the man a letter of compensation agreement. Leon read the agreement letter at a glance and immediately signed it.

"So what do you choose? Will you work here for a full year without pay or make up for all losses with money?" asked the restaurant manager. He could already guess that a poor man like Leon would prefer to work for a year without a salary rather than having to compensate with money. Of course, he was sure that Leon could not possibly have that kind of money.

"I will make up for the loss with money. This is my last day working here," Leon answered.

The restaurant manager chuckled at Leon's answer. "You must be kidding. Leon, that's 70,000 dollars. Where did you get that kind of money?" The response was mocking.
