069. The Suitcase

At that sad moment, Hera remembered what her father-in-law had said to her before he died.

FLASH BACK.

Hera entered her in-law's room carrying a tray of food. The maid had asked her to take over the task, but Hera still wanted to feed her own in-laws.

Hera smiled as she saw her sleeping mother-in-law. Mrs. Braun was probably exhausted after meeting her peers at a reunion at her house yesterday. Meanwhile, Mr. Braun took his glasses off the table to see who had just come into his room.

"Good night, Father," Hera said as she sat on the edge of the bed.

"Hera, I thought you were a maid," said Mr. Braun.

Hera laughed. "No, Father. It's me, your daughter-in-law. I want to deliver your dinner. I cooked it myself," she said.

"That must be very delicious," replied Mr. Braun enthusiastically.

Hera started feeding Mr. Braun. After the old man had swallowed his food, he asked her, "Where's Dimitri?"

"Hmm, he's in his work room. He's busy, Father," answered Hera, smiling to hide her lie.
