100. Two Choices
Leon gasped when he read the letter of demand from the Lackner family. They made two choices for Leon: to spend at least 3 years in prison or pay a fine of 200,000 dollars. Elena was also in the investigation room to accompany Leon, but she didn't sit next to him.

Seeing Leon's stunned expression, Elena asked him. "Leon, what happened?"

Instead of Leon answering, the police took over Elena's questions. "The Lackner family is suing Mr. Leon for what he did to Mr. Edward Lackner. He was asked to compensate losses of 200,000 dollars, or a minimum prison sentence of 3 years," he answered.

Elena was shocked to hear these demands. "Paying 200,000 dollars?"

"Leon, what should we do?" Elena looked at Leon with a confused look. She felt like she had no other choice but to let her man languish in prison.

Leon met Elena's gaze with a faint smile. His eyes didn't convey anything.
