174. A Slander

Leon's voice distracted Bruno and the shop manager. Bruno immediately grinned with a look of disdain at Leon's presence there.

“Leon? What are you doing here?" He asked in a teasing tone because he knew Leon only worked at the restaurant as a part-time worker. He was sure that Leon definitely wouldn't be able to buy a single item in that shop.

Leon glanced at Bruno with a sharp gaze. He ignored Bruno, and his gaze focused on the shop manager.

“You told me those shoes weren't for sale. But why did you give it to someone else?" Leon protested.

The store manager spoke while folding his hands across his stomach. “Look at you, are you sure you can afford these shoes?” he said, insulting Leon.

“You are right, he is just a part-time worker at a restaurant. He won't be able to afford these shoes, so it's better to give them to me," added Bruno.

Leon's hands clenched into tight fists, and he looked at them angrily. "But the fact is that I have the money to buy those shoes."
